Wish DJ Short was on here to discuss this. That guy LOVES good hash. And my understanding of making hash with Haze is that it's technically a waste of time, unless you are doing it for yourself (labor of love). I assume that's what people mean when they say Haze isn't good for hash. Otherwise, of course it's great for hash. Now, how that hash hits you can be a very different story, and I could see some Hazes that would make stupid strong hash that most people shouldn't touch. Like flowers, not all hash is good hash for everyone.

o yeah, i do think i remember sam saying his "dry sift" haze hash was done with some proprietary method, wouldn't expound, and then everyone speculated for awhile.

maybe it was in the "question for sam" haze thread?

anyway, i have noticed that some strains lose body and density when i smoke just the resin heads, and then i add some sugar leaves or something and the stone fills out.

so surely it's possible that the opposite could be true? some magical head high component missing. maybe not even on all phenos or haze hybrids.

In my humble opinion Extractions definitely change the complexity of the effects, solvent, extractions, destroy the complexity, dry shift pure tri chromes, seems kind of harsh on my throat. I prefer ice water methods hash then pressed into Rosin… it preserves the quality of the high. While supplying all the potency you need.

Charlie Garcia Haze dry sieve makes good hash.
I take this...

and turn it into this, pretty fast and easy.

Some Haze hybrids are real hash dumpers. The jars of Blue Dream S2 I’ve had contained a hash puck at the bottom. I wouldn't consider Blue Dream a pure Haze, though. Same goes for the A5 Haze, which I'm told makes supreme hash...

It’s been several years since I last saw a true, narrow-leaved, Colombian-looking Haze heirloom specimen in person. But if I remember correctly, they have a lot of small-headed, short-stalked glandular trichomes on the bracts, with oily resin - not exactly the qualities you'd look for in a traditional hash plant for making dry sift, eh?

Of course, it can be assumed that, inversely, the hand-rubbed charas made from these (or extracts done by non-conventional methods) could be spectacular.

THH cross taking on fall colors.
Temperatures haven’t dropped down too low, only into the low 50’s and upper 40’s at night.
She has already been consuming her inner leaves, which is fine by me.
Not signs of any amber yet, I like to wait till I see a fair bit of amber before harvesting.

I only looked into this recently, but they measure the size of the trichome from Top to Bottom and the drug strains have big (long trichomes).

Capitate-stalked trichomes are the most highly sought-after type in cannabis and are found in the flowers and leaves of the plant during its flowering cycle. These are also the largest trichomes, ranging in height from 150-500 microns, and accumulate the greatest quantity of THCA/CBDA. [1] These heads are the most desirable for top quality hash.

I have never tried water extracted hash, but I am a big fan of dry sieve or sift hash, that's what we smoked.

I don't know why people think Sativas can't produce good hash, the way I see it is if the flowers have trichomes, then you can make hash. Good hash will be made if the flower you're using also smokes well.

You can't turn a crapy or just okay smoking flower into amazing hash.

This is a Haze (Nevils Haze) I took a little early to sample, look at how many trichomes it has you can't tell me that won't produce great hash.

But like Morphote posted this is a labour of love you don't make this hash to sell, you make it for your self and to share with close friends.

Eventually they might have this 1000x1000, a 1200x1200 and a 2000x1000 area, but this could change if the Mrs wants some Indica :p
My priority is a seed run and 2nd is taking clones from them all so the males may have to die after making pollen while their clones wait in the clone tent , depends on the numbers and other factors...
I'll have some sort of idea of the best girls after the seed run I guess, nothing's set in stone yet :)
They're so cute at this age :D
