I have a big bag of seed from the early 80's that was a strain that an older smoker I knew grew '80-83 in corn fields out in Ontario, said it was the best smoke they ever had and the seeds came from bricks ofweed the hash importers sometimes brought strain from the hash regions. Honestly I would have probably never grown it but he started some up and gave me some reveged plants at the end of the outdoor season.A month or so later I was short #'s and threw em in a flower room with some MK and HP crosses I had going. About 6 weeks in i was looking through and I was like damn I don't remember putting any Kush clones in here, looked at the label and was blown away, the Ontario Indica from 1980 looked exactly like the Purple Kushes r Master Kushes I had seen around, smelled like it too. Best part was they (5 females) lokked almost like clones, just minor differences in hieght and leaf structure. going to use those for my kush crosses, because even with 2 back crosses from my HP males, my attempts to preserve the local Kushes with seed has left my scratching my head. the smell is so similar between PK MK Bubba Pink even theMKU I thought it would be pretty dominant, but they all stretched out and got sweet and floral in the outcrosses. weird.

Got one creamy MK/HP cross that I kept seeds of too but far from landrace.

Nice shots, guys! I came across some Lashkar Gah not long ago and it was really nice. Very chunky buds that are dense with a pleasant old school flavor. Love a good indica :joint:

What happened to Sensi Star's popularity? It used to be the shit back in the OG days if you wanted a heavy hitting indica.

Small update on the Deep Chunk/PTK hashplants by Raco, grown by a good friend. We're looking for a reproduction and a later big selection for keepers with those. Many thanks for your help bro!

here is my land race indica , I picked her up in the shimla mountains .
i was at the hanuman temple and got talking to the guy who looks after the monkeys , cause the monkeys had stolen my friends glasses lol , we had to pay the monkey some food to get um back,it was march and to cold in the mountains for ganja , but i asked for seeds and he said there were some in the temple plates, he gave me a hand full , this has been one of my main breeding plants ,she tastes of the afghan that made sk1 , cheese , blue berry , antiseptic , earthy ,hash , Nepalese berry hash and spicy in a none sativa way
when i cross with her she is so dominant , and passes on vigour compared to her at p1 pure form ... she likes little ,if any food . finishes with small but tight dense buds ... and very unique tasting ...
ill do a high land and low land punjab Indian thread soon …
There are some nice land race indicas in this thread , those purple pakis look good.

Some pictures for the lettuce and cabbage lovers from a joint project from some seeds I've shared with a good grower friend. We are looking forward to find some proper Kush keepers with that extreme hashplant look.

This are Raco's Deep Chunk X PTK:

How'd the DC x PTK end up ?

I did the reverse of that PTK x DC 8 or 9 years ago, worked very well!

Beautiful wide Leaf strain rom. And all in this page, beautiful plants. I am working some of Ace's paki Kush, and RSC lebanese and Chitrali kush. I will post some updated pics...although the lebanese seems to be slower to flower and more thin leaves, even though it is oddly compact

I know this is probably asked a lot and this may not be the place to ask but just how bastardized do you guys think the name "Kush" has become in the weed game? I get lots of strains that have that Kush on the end of it. But it seems less and less of them represent what I think should be in a Kush. Namely some Afghan/Paki indica. Hell, half of them seem to produce sativa effects too. Am I just wrong in thinking anything named Kush should be indica dominant? Or hell, at least 50/50.....
