SUGAR HAZE REGULAR

The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is a mountain range in the Northwest of Colombia. It reaches an altitude of 5,700 metres above sea level, just 42 km from the Caribbean coast; it is the world's highest coastal range. The mountain range encompasses about 17,000 km² and serves as the source of 36 rivers. It is the perfect habitat for a huge variety of plants including cannabis and many strains have flourished there. For over 40 years now cannabis enthusiasts and American hippies have included Santa Marta on their South American marijuana trail and certain varieties have deservedly earnt a good reputation e.g. Santa Marta Gold, a yellowing indica dominant strain. In our Sugar Haze we have crossed a Santa Marta with Original Haze, one of the Skunkman’s most famous creations. The result is a fast flowering sativa dominant haze strain with a THC potential of around 23%. This strain has a sweet taste but is a heavy hitter and not recommended for the occasional user. Through our selective crossbreeding techniques we have managed to reduce the flowering time on this strain to below almost all other haze strains, so much so that it can be grown outdoors, and should finish by the end of October.

Thank you!! do not wait, I can assure you will enjoy this strain. Only I got a little problem with mostly sativa phenotype concerning low temperatures (with minimum of 9 ° C in advanced flowering), causing considerable stress, so it ended, pollinating some plants. But it only happened with the sativa plant (also happened with the Purple Bud sativa phenotype), and when temperatures dropped below 14 ° C. Right now I'm testing some of these resulting seeds from a Power Africa pollinated.

G'day Trich

Chomba64 did start a topic about this variety in 2010 and showed a pic which has more of BLD structure than a NLD structure.

Is the Sugar Haze a hybrid with an indica variety or something went wrong with the package?

Keep on growing :)

Hi mex, i moved you post at the main Sugar thread.. So try to have everything in one thread.. Ok, SH is Santa Marta x Original Haze, pics you can see first & second post are mines.. from this grow i get 3 phenos.. One thinks like the one you show in that photo, with a flat & indica structure, another similar in smell buds but with a more sativa structure .. and the other pheno was completely Haze, a monster sativa... :tiphat:

Thnx for the info Trich, but how come that BLD structure? The Santa Marta Colombian Gold is more NLD than BLD.

Keep on growing :)

Iirc from reading one of the SugarHaze threads, someone suggested that the SantaMarta used in the hybrid was an indica. Sorry I can’t link the thread.

Another two phenos of Sugar Haze, maybe #3 is what amynamous was talking about?
very squat, no stretch, short but realtively thin leaves, unlike another post in the first page that looks very wide leaf.
Have to say I didn't have high hopes for these but turns out all 3 are very interesting in their own way.
