I have some plants from seed I started March 1 , I have them under 24 hours of light ..Should I change the light cycle to 18/6 ? I’m at 45n , I’m trying to have plants in the ground by Mother’s Day at latest .. The plants are showing sex already under continuous light , I want to avoid them going into flower and wasting time ..

18/6 from the beginning would have done an excellent job for you! Not sure why you decided otherwise!

i think 18/6 should give you the same results as 24/0; at least it did for me
i used to run the lights in veg @24/0 but decided to cut back at some point
i saw little difference as far as their growth for veg, they just think its one long summer

They might start flowering when you put them outside as they will finally experience a sleep cycle.
BUT, There's a chance they will cruise right through without issues since they are from seed and not clones.
I've done this before and been fine.
If they were clones it's safer to hold off until June 1st to plant outside.
You could put a few outside and see how they react.
Keep a few inside for backup if they get wacky.
Keep a journal. Write down your germination dates, genetics, weather, light shedule, etc. See what works at your latitude. Buy that 4$ timer!
Share your results.
Good luck
