I have been at war with thrips for a while, but their damage usually looks alot different.
No, using alot less than what advanced nutrients recommends, e.c. would probably be 3.0 if I used what their chart calls for

I have had problems with Advanced Nutrients. Good luck friend I wish you the best.
Back to back treatments (48 hours apart) of Spinosad will knock out Thrips.

Use a magnifier to make sure you don't have any pests eating on the leaves.
That's leafhopper damage. They're easy to recognize. They're small flies with broad, hammerhead shark-like heads and look like crickets or cockroaches.
There are also spider-like leafhoppers.
Basically they jump on top of the leaf and start munching away.
