Michael Block, an unknown club pro from Mission Viejo California, showed the touring pros how it is done on the 15th hole today, making not just a hole in one, but dropping it in on the fly while playing with Rory McIlroy. no bounce and roll, nothing, direct fucking airmail. one of the coolest things i've seen watching golf. in addition to his highest ever payday ($288K plus change) he gets to play again next year without having to qualify, and already has 2 other invitations to tournaments he otherwise would have missed out on. instead of flying back to California, he's changed his tickets for Dallas-Fort Worth instead. the other invite was to a tourney in Canada, which referenced his ace saying "we heard the hole in one roar from across Lake Ontario..." good on you, Mike! carry on...
