Hi everyone! This is my first post here and i wanted to share my little winter project for those who are interested and have some knowlegde, i am only here to learn! I did a previous grow 2019/20 during corona, where there was total cannabis drougth during this time, i was happy with the result, but most off all hooked. Forward to today, i just completed my first closet build.

As we all know its not about whats on the outside but whats on the inside

Ive estimated i can have 3 flowering friends in this or maby 4 using sea of green? Dept is 50 cm/ with 80cm width and 140 cm heigth, i have room to expand but id rather not since..u know work.. i know its looking a bit messy now, but best solution to seal was tape a tarp tape or something heavy duty, i also used velcrow tape strips on the door thats working really really well to keep the closet shut, only mods i did to the closet itself was cutting two 10,5 cm diameter hole in the shelf and top of the closet, managing to hide the vent tube all the way to the window mostly hidden by a flag and a cardboard box,

Venting works like a charm… really quiet too for the old equiptment im using, there is one duct fan in the closet, and one exstra computer fan shoved in the window side, for that extra pull, works really well, i have one carbon filter for when it smells later

image.jpg

This is the ligth im using.. its a handmedown i got for about 30 bucks, anybody got experience with these ligths?
image.jpg

I also have these i estimate they do no more than 40w per ligth, but seems too be doing their job in sprouting wanna see if i can use them on lower canopy later. There is also a humidifier in the picture (upside down bottle). I put a old desk fan upside down in the closet, it was very squeecky but some wd40 solvet that, so now it works perfectly. Enough about my fans. I also bougth a remote for my ligths, as a deadswitch, concidering anything can happen (30bucks) there is some sheets of reflective golden ish foil/wrap thing ive found and cut into squares bougth soil, perlite, and leca, i will be using general hydroponics trio since its what i have at hand.
So.. questions? Advice? Critizism? Hit me im an open ear i know alot of information is skipped here, but i hope i can share it all in the conversation! Keep it green everyone :)

yeah my man, so my meager seed collection, ive put 4 seeds from some bags from about 10 years agoo, for testing, all have sprouted so far, i also just put 2 amnesia x kush, seeds today in the earth, week n half after my bagseeds, guessing they migth spend more time surviving, and will pick out wich ones to keep later, 6 starters migth be a bit too much... i think im just hyped to get going again, also have 7 auto somango seeds i wanna do if this closet works as well as i think it will! thanks my guy, did a previous bagseed grow few years ago, turned into some pretty sexy stuff for my first time, ill make a post with the few pics i have when i got the time and motivated for it, thanks for the attention! :D ill keep posted

I would keep a fire extinguisher near by just to be safe. I can't tell but I would recommend some kind of a catch on the floor for runoff.

Looks like a fun project. Hope you have the greenest of grows in your new groom.

Thanks, i did have a plastic layer at the bottom but it looked messy, i have these tiny plates from storage boxes, doing the job while they dont need Lotta water, but will find something better (hoping for a white tray for reflection), and yeah rigth about fire, thanks, for now my extinguishers is in the hallway, 5meters away, will buy a mini one, and i will plug in my spare smoke detector! Settup runs about 1200w total (Quick head math, shared from 2 sockets luckily)

Day 33 of the grow, i had some temprature issues sometime when leaving my heater on, so had. A few time where the temp was about 30+ celcius, but they saved themselves with some minor stress, best way to cool for now is airing out the closet now and again, fans just wont do, the mystery seed seems to be very strong

one month since day 33, my free trial on a grow journal expired SHM, not that it was all that usefull, temps are better, still trying to find a solution where i can always close the cabinet, for now a small piece of garden wire keep it "breathing" in daytime, and nigthtime i turn off the extractor, but it recently have started to have a mild scent, gotta redo the fucking ducting to plug the carbon filter, and rely mostly on my assortment of small fans, found some nice air scrubber tips here though!

now they did get some heat stress due a miss step on my part, had to leave for 3 days and room-mate was on water duty, all good, but my timer didnt stand on auto while i was gone, toasted a set og fan leaves, also they got some cold stress the last cold snowy days here, down too 17/18celcius to almost 30c, so i decided to flip them from 18/6 to 12/12, 1 hour per day i did a little experiment (let me know if it was stupid or nah) when they recovered i watered them with a weak feeding, and used soda stream water inbetween, they recovered pretty nice before the flip,

4 new seeds in my homemade seedling/i made to many plants cardboard box, already sprouted to hard, i migth have started em a bit early, wanna make another one of those boxes, decent happy with the results on the box, kept decent moisture and, almost perfect temp, with 25 w, worth of led
Ligths,

I have a question about led ligths, in the purple photo you can see 2 tubes? Poking between the lamps, ive sat them linear with the plants and under the canopy, its a 10w, redand blue ligths, my thougth was maby it hit some lower nodes, would it even be worth looking into? Or use the ligth for my new box of to many plants? They even have their own buildt in 3/9/12 hour timer that i think is pretty handy while if figure out all the other kinks

Hello wise ones! Just a small update from my closet grow, day 93, there have probably been some stresses too the plant, no ph meter, and weak feedings, jumpy depratures this spring, but both are developing some pretty node sites, in noticed a few burnt hairs, and my room is starting to smell sligtly sweet :) but very faint, i did, finally trim some leaves the past days, and the bottom node sites, but leaving quite a bit, stripping the bare minimum, even if, better photos comming, but these are from today,
