The DC is actually not a landrace any more because it was worked elsewhere, not in the conditions from Afghanistan.
However, it's still a pure-line (inbred only ..overall very nice plant and imo one of the best tasting affys around
Ive been on a hunt for a old school ghani. Had one years ago that was awesome. Thanks to a good Bro! I was able to test/try DC myself this season. Seeds were germed in May...out in late june. And I am very pleased with them. Next year I will try to push it to its limits growth wise. Soon I will get to see how she taste.......
Esbe , never said Toms work was crap , but that picking up several packs would be tha way to do it . I've seen several pheno's on tha boards . Raco and CBF come to mind .
There are killer phenos out there from tha reports , and you may just strike it rich . As Indicalover put it and tha way it's described , it's a relatively unworked line . I must say that all the females smelled of curry , with slight differences in height and nug structure ; It's hard fer me to draw a clear conclusion on this line , as it seems there are several different phenos , with only tha curry pheno rearing it's head in my show .
I am hopeful that I will get to grow out a killer offering from Tom's offerings , in tha future .
I had a pheno that had a lot of pine taste and smell. It was very narcotic and had a lot of resin. It produced tight indica nugs that nocked you the **** out I am sure there are some great phenos in there. That is the only female that I had at the time though.
Right on XYZ, I was speaking in general about landrace, definitely not about DC. Your comments are correct though.
Hey HK is the the PTK there or the DC? Nice looking girls u have!
Hello fellow PTK growers. These PTK are just starting to flower. They were started april 15 . Very slow to say the least with very little smell. I'm hoping they will finish by the second week of OCT
started half a pack a while ago . 4 males , 1 female . lost em all to a nasty leafspot fungus before i had a chance to flower em. i see pix all the time off growers with this same fungal infection , even "breeders" but they think it s a nutrient def ?? it affects some strains more than others , needless to say these Landrace genes seemed to offer very little resistance to this type off infection .
they grew slower than hybrids i germed at same time . 3 of the males were not to far behind though . however the lone female and other male were just plain small and lazy !! i doubt these 2 would have made the grade , regardless of the infection doing my selections
some veg pix before they were all culled and the grow disinfected .........
still got 1 1/2 packs to look through , and i v added fungicide to the arsenal . i ll get them started this winter .
Im hopeing they finish aswell. As Im after the seed crop. Pollinateing all of them, need a good # of them to sort threw and see what is hideing in the gentics! 08 outdoor will be doing atleast 100 each of PTK and DC.
This week I started with 4 seeds of PTK S1 from Tom Hill... all of this sprouted at 36 hours...
I hope to obtain some male and some female... 2/2, will be very good...
I put a photo from the difference of PTK seeds ( the left one ), and other ( the right one )... the seeds of PTK are big, resistent, tiger and strong...
Hi all... Incredible PTKs, i have got 3 PTK from my friend Youngones, i´m so ****ing happy happy hehehhehe. As soon as posible i put this three seed in water to germinate.
Went and had a look at my PTK's didnt take camera....and was pleasantly surprised! They are takeing off. And many calyxes are swelling with seeds! So lets hope they make it I may end up digging them up..as they only have untill the 2nd / 3rd week of Oct in that field. Hate to lose them..........
