Phishing

Question: If a link or YouTube is hosted here, meaning, to me, that you use the inserting icons at the top of the reply page here to post it instead of just copy and paste it, does that mean that inserted link won't be a phishing site?

Please bear with me. I'm just computer illiterate enough to cause some serious damage.

So the youtube button just lets you link the ID, then the forum is taking care of the actual loading of the youtube webpage. The Insert Link button seems to just directly link what you insert.

But I think you can manually still insert a url that redirects to something not matching the name.

If you mouse over that last one you can visually see that it doesn't match and redirects to google.com. I think the only way to be 100% sure is to mouse over a link before opening it. You can always right click it and copy the link location and then paste it into like notepad to be double sure it is going where it says it is. I feel like there used to be a firefox plugin that did that for you but my googlefu is weak and I'm not finding shit.
