NL#1xChem D + PurpsxChem D

Greetings all. Popped a pack of each of these a couple of weeks a go. Over 90% germination using the old tissue method with quick soak in H202. Only ever sampled a couple of Chem crosses previously so any expectation for these is based on details I've read. The PurpsxChemD came as a pack of freebies for which there is mucho appreciando.

They'll be grown alongside a lot of other crosses I made that I want to go through. Space is limited so the first time they're grown out, they'll be flowered, cured and sampled to determine which will be kept, which luzzed. The best of the best will be kept as cuts and crossed to preserve seeds to hunt through looking for more gems. The only problem being the plants will be closely bunched together. This is the only way I have of searching through reasonable quantities to find what I like.

Very cool, I think this is probably the first documented grow of those freebies. I was just looking at my pack the other day. I'll get to 'em someday.

Happy growing. Can't wait to see how they turn out.

I have a pack of the NL#1 x Chem D, so really looking forward to seeing what you find in yours. Many thanks for sharing!

Cheers. Gleaned a lot of info from your grow and smoke reports. So thank you for that. Hopefully this is helpful. I can see a bit of early funny leaf growth and possibly a bit of the variegation coming on. Chem D is known for that I’ve read.

Was doing some preliminary sexing of plants that are around 30cm, more or less. Noticed that one of the Chem D/Purps had started full on flowering so guess there must be some autoflower genes from somewhere in the family history. Already dropping pollen on 18/6. So that was culled pronto. I’m guessing that might be from the purps side if people needed these to finish early in those BC climes. Also another Chem D/ Purps split into two apical stems. Not much else to report. I’ll try and be more interesting next post. Lol

Males are usually in a hurry to flower anyways, even more so on the pre-flower at the internodes. I don't think what you are showing is autoflower trait but just an early male. The growing sites look full on veg.
Looking forward to seeing this one in a few weeks!

On 18/6? Don't think so dude. Thanks for the input but there are about 90-100 diff variety plants all popped at the same time and only around 10 were barely even showing sex. This male was already dropping pollen, sacks fully akimbo so there it most definitely had autoflower traits. My over sensitive big nose sniffed that puppy out and started sneezing violently. Culled now anyway. I'm not at all in to autos. Fun to watch grow but not my thing.

@Stizo how far along in flower are the purple chemd's? I also have two PCD's going at the moment and they were a bit slow in veg but finally glowing quickly. One is in flower and the other still vegging for a few more days. I'm interested to see how long these will flower for. Your plants look healthy and and fading nicely. I hope they finish strong for you.

@Jahaze Thanks for the well wishes dude. Right back at you. So they’re at 35 days, exactly five weeks since the flip. I’ll take pics of every plant I have at finish and detail here. I’ll do a little smoke report as well. There are around 4 females of each variety which I kept clones of and I kept the two stinkiest Chem D/NL5 males to make more seeds. Some are slightly taller than others. I didn’t in regrettable haste keep Chem D/Purps males so if they special and Breeders Retail open for even a weekend, I’ll be straight on to them about another pack or two. Everything I’ve had so far has been interesting and different.

Hola. Took one of the ChemDxPurps down. Have 4 I think. Took this one at 68 days as it had begun to display a handful of nanas but non that dropped any viable pollen so of no concern. And at 68 days I mean who gives a shit.
Anyway, apologies for pic quality.
Scents off her are sweet mild grape or plum and hints of medicated shampoo or mildly smoked toothpaste.

ChemD BX NLs. Just the two plants. Thought I had a couple more but then realised I kept two males to make seed.

Chem D x Purps. Another 4 plants. The Chem D BX/NLs threw out the odd nana here and there. We’re talking single digits with no actual pollen dropping.

Plants were grown in 7 litre pots. 19 plants in 1.5 x1.5 x 6ft tent. Thanks to Chimera and Breeders Retail for the freebie pack of ChemD x Purps. Gonna make some seed with the Chem D males and go through those. Will come back in month or so and detail the smoke. Very grateful.

Probs a last update on these plants. They have been in jars and the smells and highs are starting to come to the fore. I haven’t managed to go through much to figure out what is what but wanted to sample the Chem D BX using the NL maleand the Chem Purps. Chem D BXs are very potent. Good end of day weed. They definitely have funk and the smells are changing on them still. So still to arrive at a good description. There is definitely old gym socks, a slight sweet funk and some sour there but not overpowering. The high is quality. One is slightly trippier than the other. The other being a conversation killer. That might reflect my current mood at the moment but I have to make an effort to talk to somebody else getting part way down a joint.
The Chem D/Purps is also potent and has more instantly gratifying taste and smell. One jar is like opening and smelling raspberry jam. That translates to the taste also. The other three have some of that to varying degrees. The highs are also well rounded and complex. Full arc journey type weed. Very pleased to have these and gonna order another pack if available because would like to have these locked in to seeds for the future.
Really enjoyed growing and now smoking and can only see them getting better with more of a cure. Glad to finally try some legit chem also. Thanks BR and Chimera.
All the best.
