Yeah, calvin ridley took a break in the middle of last season for ‘mental health’ reasons. He didn’t specify what they were, substance abuse, depression, burnout, maybe a bit of all three? But during his break he bet a few parleys on a betting app and got caught cause he used his real name like a dumbass. And ur right, everyone who knows about pete rose knows that betting on your sport as a pro athlete is worse than getting caught smoking crack as far as job security goes. Still, maybe ridley doesn’t know about rose, these youngsters today don’t know anything that didn’t largely happen within their lifetime.
Plus as long as youre betting on other teams or betting on yours to win how is that bad? If youre betting on yours to lose (point shaving) yeah then that affects competitive balance but almost all athletes are super competitive, that’s one of the reasons they end up making it to the pros. But rose and ridley didn’t do that, didn’t bet against their teams, according to them at least, so if anything they wanted their teams to do better.

I guess there’s different degrees of sexual assault, the highest is of course forcible rape with violence or threat of violence, but pinching someones boob or butt is the lowest and not a felony. I guess 2 of watson’s accusers said he ‘coerced’ them into oral sex, whatever that means. Ur right, it doesn’t mean he drugged them or used force in any way, and a Houston grand jury declined to bring criminal charges against him, but there’s a certain unequal power dynamic that made them feel like they had to do it. Maybe he was promising them more athlete clients, or a job with the team, if they ‘played’ along.

I have no doubt that some of the stingiest people in the world are also some of the richest, haha. Years ago Marge Schott owned the Cincinnati Reds and she’d go around the Reds office turning down the thermostat in winter to keep the heat bill down. One time the Reds didn’t display scores of other games in their stadium because she didn’t want to pay the $350/mth it would cost to have that service – she was like why would they pay attention to other games when they’re AT a game? She didn’t want to spend money on scouts cause all they do is ‘sit on their butts and watch games’. Lol.
I guess it’s true, sometimes rich people don’t become rich because they SPEND a lot of money, they’d rather hoard it than spend it.

I suppose even if youre betting on your team you could end up hurting it, say you’re up by 20pts but instead of easing up and winning by 14 you want to score another td to make sure you cover the spread (spread is close, like 13-15pts) and a player gets hurt cause you were pushing too hard. Or maybe a 2nd stringer comes in and plays poorly to ensure they come under the point spread but still win? There’s all sorts of scenarios where betting on your own game will have negative effects, even if it doesn’t affect the win-loss record that much.

What’d you like about bullet train, DB? Good action scenes? Kind of funny sometimes?

I wonder who’s going to end up calling plays for the patriots offense. Matt patricia was the defensive playcaller, and joe judge was a special teams playcaller, not sure if either has experience calling offensive plays but maybe football is football, whatever side youre on it’s all about situations (goal line, down and distance, etc) and matchups.

Yeah Bullet Train was surprisingly good...lots of action but great little stories in there, especially about the characters. There's a lot of comedy in it...but not too much. I think you'd like it bababooey! Good movie to get high to.

There was a story that she referred to a couple of Reds players as her 'million dollar n-words', that was back when ballplayers were first breaking a million dollars a year. Also that she said hitler started off good but then 'went too far'. Lol yeah, the league banned her from running the team in the 90s, and she eventually sold the team.
It's probably hella fun to hang out with strippers, as long as sex is a regular occurrence. Less fun to deal with all the drama they have. Just like any relationship, but a step up.
I havent been to jersey mikes in years, they must be pretty good if a gastropub doesnt have anything better. I know their thing is they slice the meat and cheese fresh.

I use Malwarebytes (free version) and also Windows Defender (built into windows 10 or 11 or earlier too) for my antivirus needs. What do you have going, a bunch of popups? Computer really slowed down, something processing in the background? Malwarebytes is pretty good if windows defender doesnt cure it. Just dont use mcafee, thats computer aids. Also avg antivirus free version is decent too but i havent used that in years.

its a great program and was part of a group license and it only cost like $2-3 a computer, now its almost $30/y for what i want
i dont visit a lot of dodgy sites so i have that going for me and a friend says he hasnt used anti virus in years
i like some kind of protection, (like using a fake name) when i get into the sh!t for them most part i only use a few sites on the reg and they are all reputable

I havent heard of nod32 but if it works and you get regular updates then it sounds like it’s not a bad deal. Yeah you want to avoid clicking on a lot of suspicious links, downloading ‘free’ games or unknown attachments that strangers send you.

Maybe ur friend was giving them fake purses and stuff, although good fakes are still not that cheap. I guess cheap is all relative, when youre ‘dating’ a stripper you have to realize this is a person who takes off their clothes for money, usually lots of money, so you have to bring your A-game. I suppose if he got laid cheaper than it would cost to hire them as an escort then he came out ahead financially. That’s a cynical way to look at it though, lol.

Yeah a gastropub would have an eclectic menu with a lot of scratch made foods. I took a look at their menu, at least their prices seemed reasonable for a sit down joint, everything around $10 or less. Were the sandwiches a decent size?

Sounds like ur son has some big plans and is moving on up in the world. Good for him, hopefully he’ll enjoy his career as well as find success. Work life is more than just about how much someone makes, although that’s important too.

Man, taking a woman shopping is hard core if theyre going to some fancy stores. Could easily drop thousands in one trip. Hope he got his money’s worth lol. The woman has a relative who’s way into designer clothes and handbags, she’s not that good looking so im not sure she can get rich dudes to buy her stuff but a sucker is born every minute amirite?

Is ur kid into clothes and video games? Cars? I guess that was what I spent my money on when I was his age, although I didn’t really splurge on anything.

Dalton is… alright I guess. He’s 34 and is still a league average passer, his completion % is lower than you’d like (below 65%) and his int’s are higher than you’d like (about 1.5-1 td-int ratio) but he’s a solid backup, cheap at 3M/yr, which is what the saints are paying him. He got the same for backing up Dak with the cowboys 2 yrs ago, of course the bears paid him 10M last year to be their starter lol. Every team gives out bad contract but im glad we have a new GM now, the old one (ryan pace) was like setting piles of money on fire with some of the contract he gave out.

Jameis tweaked his foot in practice but seems to have avoided major injury. Their O/U for wins this year is 8.5, they finished 9-8 last season, their first without Brees. They were 5-2 to start but then jameis tore his ACL and they went 4-6 the rest of the season. If he were to miss significant time again I'd have to bet the under on them.

I was pretty materialistic when I was younger, wanting this and that, and I guess the flashy stuff is impressive, most people are shallow and if you’re dressed nice they tend to treat you better than otherwise. But now I'm older and DGAF as much, sometimes i dress like a downright slob lol.

Yeah, Winston didn’t have Michael Thomas all last season who was trying to work his way back from ankle surgery but couldn’t. He’s a top 5 WR when healthy (set the nfl record for receptions in a season with 149 in 2019) so if he’s 100%, with Kamara almost any decent QB should be able to put some pts up.

We have a couple Thursday night games, giants at pats and titans at ravens. DB, you think mac jones will play at all on Thursday? I hear he’s been having trouble vs their 1st team defense.

there was a time growing up when i was very interested in finance and investing
like the boy i would put every free cent i had into the market
i guess it all turned out ok and i still have some of those original investments in my portfolio to this day
once you learn something you will always have that knowledge and i still follow the market
a funny thing here in socal is you see guys who look like beach bums get into fancy cars and (im sure) drive to their nice house
there is this sort of dress code where you wear shorts, flip flops and a nice t to hanging out during the day, esp on weekdays; its interesting to see who is out on a weekday afternoon

Yeah DB, the pats defense is a top 5 unit (2nd in points allowed, 4th in yards allowed last season) so going up against them in practice can be dispiriting, lol. Still, im sure belichick isn’t going to ease up on the offense, I think Michael jordan and other athletes have said if you can make practices intense enough then the games are almost easy by comparison.
Mac might not play week 1 preseason but im sure he’ll see some action in weeks 2-3. Some teams don’t play their starters at all in preseason but the risk is you come out flat in week 1 of regular season, like the packers did last season losing 38-3 to the saints.

I think if you had invested in Apple back after the dotcom crash (2001 or so?) it was literally like $2-3 a share it would be worth thousands a share now (after all the stock splits they did). A thousand dollar investment in Apple would be a million dollars now or something. But back then it was an unpopular PC company and they didn’t come out with the iphone till like 2007 or something so you would have to have been pretty prescient then.
So youre saying some of those beach bums are real life millionaires? What about the homeless people camping on the sidewalk, are any of them secretly rich? Pooping in an alley, wiping with the wall street journal?
I follow Notre dame football a little bit but didn’t really hear about this kyren Williams kid, he’s a little small (5’9, 200lbs) but a good pass catcher (averaged 4 catches a game) so projects as a third down scatback type. So long as he can pick up blitzes he should see some action during the regular season.

I havent been back to popeye’s yet but might have to go soon, the woman didn’t want me feeding chicken to the dog but I cant help myself lol.

Keep the food stories coming. Im stuck eating cashews and fruit and drinking muscle milk zero. Have to lose weight. Walking too. This Haldol garbage got me all fat around the lower waist. On like 4 medications now because of it. New doctor where I go, too soon to reduce my monthly haldol shot of 100mg. I don't hear voices and shit I just get high. Hard explaining to doctor. Have been taking the Fenofibrate cholesterol stuff...will be nice to see triglycerides under 200.
Looking for a Mac Jones rookie card...they're about $20.
