Mixed summer outdoor grow

Just put two Humboldt nutter budder and one Ace KA5H seeds in water. In a week or two I will add one Dutch Passion charlottes Angel seed to this mix. These will go in a coast of Maine blend of soils outdoors. Going to be a good grow.

Today I transplanted from wet paper towel into peat pellets or what others call jiffy pots. I happen to like them and always use this method. I usually only soak for 24 hours, this one I let go a bit more. I get nervous the longer it sits as the root is exposed. I like to see the smallest amount of white root. These images are Pretty good, though a touch larger than I like. Should be just fine. I gently use needle nose pliers to grab the shell and place with white root facing down if possible.

@StickyBandit @Three Berries

All three seeds came up last night under my HPS. Took them outside this morning where they will stay. Single seed is KA5H, a bit taller. Two seeds are the nutter budder. Looks like if you are in a hurry plugs are faster by a day or two.

I’m thinking to run one nutter budder in fox farms, the other in my coast of Maine soil mix. See which is better. KA5H will go in coast of Maine mix.

Then the question is veg in happy frog or veg in ocean forest..

All being good I generally have one out of the soil on the 4th day. Depends on if it takes two or three days to spout a tap root first.

I got some plugs but lost two out of three sprouted seeds on them this winter.

Just put one charlottes angel in water. Other three seeds are still in peat pellets for a bit longer. It’ll be a few days until I put this in peat, assuming it pops. I’m starting to research cbd, terpenes. I’m hoping this strain helps with the inflammation I have.

The charlottes angel seed cracked overnight so I put it in the peat pellet then under my hps for a bit of mock sunshine. Other plants are slowly growing.

Do you have any pics of your water setup? Cheers :)
Or do you mean you hatch them in water?

I mean just put in water. Will try to be very clear in the future. In truth pretty sure I had chowed a pile of gummies, just like now!

The charlottes angel popped right up. Still in the peat though.

This method I am starting to see 100% germination. I used to put down extra seeds but now have this system worked out well.

Put the others in containers today. KA5H is growing well. Taller than the indicas, which makes sense. One of the indicas looks quite strong, the other a bit slow.

Soil was equal parts of coast of Maine Bar Harbor Potting soil, Penobscot blend, lobster compost. Perlite to taste, a bit of worm castings. I’ve changed up how I am doing things now and am not adding nutes. I will also be watering with straight rainwater I’ve collected. I will be using water soluble fertilizer when needed.

Things are growing well. All seeds germinated and growing. Decided to put one nutter budder in the garden. See how it goes.

First image is KA5H with nutter budder sativa looking pheno in the background. Second image is nutter budder sativa with Charlottes Angel in the background. Third is CA, last is NB in the garden which appears to be indica leaning pheno. The CA is catching up quickly.

Up potted everything on Friday. All plants are doing very well. The nutter Budder I thought was sativa leaning now looks more indica. About time to start bending these down to help keep height down.

Today was up pot day. I decided to go right into final 5 gallon fabric. I was quite careful on soil mix. The white container shown in this thread is my measurIng device, about a quart. Two quarts bar harbor blend potting soil, one quart Penobscot blend, one quart lobster compost, half a quart of earth worm castings, one quart of perlite. Repeat until 5 gallon bag is nearly full.

My ladies are doing well. KA5H got tipped over yesterday and lost some soil and dried a bit. Other than this, things are good.

Things are chugging along but I noticed some leaf damage on the cbd and the nutter budder when uppotting. Not sure what happened but guessing plants used up calcium in the smallish containers I had them In. Either that or over water but I was quite careful. They were set back by the repot and didn’t grow much the last week. Ka5h though kept growing. It’s doing very well.

Hi @Switcher56 . Thanks BTW. Your postings on cbd have been inspirational and informational. I hope your house ordeal is moving along favorably to you.

Also forgot to mention I Bent these down to promote side branch growth and keep overall height down. Worked great on ka5h but not so much on the others.

Nutter budder is not growing strongly, either plant. It’s been a while since I’ve grown hybrid indica plants. These are sleepy time plants for my wife, though my Ace Malawi’s put us both to sleep sadly.

All the plants have hit their stride and are growing strong. I had them all bent over up until 3-4 days ago but they grew and pulled out the stakes I had holding them down. The ka5h is making me nervous as it’s not begun to stretch yet and is growing very nice.
