Oh man I feel stoned from looking at the pictures, they really look something out of the ordinary.
Good on ya moonunit. I read your bio posts about your breeding when you came back online and I hope your getting plenty of satisfaction these days bro.

Foomar- I enjoy your posts, I hope to be able to observe and report and correlate like yourself one day. Truely pro.
Nice work

Hi foomar m8, lovely growing and lovely pics. Beautiful work m8 :)

Hi coota, i do indeed get satisfaction m8, helping folk, especialy those with medical issues is about as satisfying as it gets :).
I used to worry about what everyone else thought far to much, now i focus on my thoughts, growth, goals and path in life. I just let the worries of the world slip through my fingers like mud returning to the earth and my path becomes so much clearer :)

Love to see that lad across the c99 blackberry foomar , i was hoping this strain would fit the bill for you there , betcha the cross is as colourful as ....

This one was shagged , bagged and tagged in short order , given the colour of both lines there should be some pretty ones in the mix.

Hi coota , these are really special and the pics do not do them justice , would snap them up if released.

Thanks moonunit , the dark girl smokes like a C99 X Diesel cross with a deep medicinal aftertaste and is very potent , far from alcopops and has caught a couple of people out , clones going out will give usefull feedback , see how far nutes and hydro can push it , above average yield for its type in soil .

Hi foomar m8, the c99 blackberry looks like she will be a great cross to the mbs m8, cant wait to see the progeny of that one.
Good to here the mbs cuts the mustard m8, shes looking to be a good line indeed, working on mbs2 atm which will be same mother as mbs, but with a single z99 f2 father as opposed to mbs's 22 z99 f1 fathers. A narrowed and more refined mbs.
Its a really fun line thusfar to breed/work, and is a good example of a classic, yet simple breeding program, and it teaches me more as i work it more.
Ultimately i am steering it towards a medical line that provides pain relief of indica, with the emotional uplifting high of sativa, as i have seen to many patients get depressed because the indicas they smoke glue them to the couch or bed, where as a good sat high in the mix will hopefully inpire them to get up and get amongst it as best they can. And that in itself is a healing force imho. Also it will be great for recreational users looking for something strong, but different.
Thanks again for testing m8, you help me towards a positive goal.

Hi moon , just smoked a mix of the two , a lovely combination which is hopefully present in the cross in numbers.

Discovered i can get away with males as flowered clones in tiny pots , eight inches tall has pollinated two small girls for around 500 seeds.

The MBS has dried out nicely and ready to jar , dont think any will reach glass but it smokes rich and smooth as is , takeing people by suprise with its potency and unexpected muscle relaxant effect.

Visually very like the blackberry cross , totally different terpenes and effects.

Hi foomar m8, lovely grow m8. Glad to hear you like her, they will be even better on the second run ( genetic maturity is benefitial for anything with aussie genes in it, so the second run is usualy even better :) ).
Just wondering what your thoughts are on the flavor and type of high/stone?
Tyvm again m8

Hi moon , will be feeding a little with the clones , a touch more nitrogen in veg and a dash of pK in mid flower , needs little above base nutes from the results of test.

Two cuts just gone into a mates hydro , he pushes them to the limit with CO2 and satanic AN stuff in 20+ expensive bottles and spends hours measuring out potions , should be an interesting comparison to my very basic room.

Wonderful smell to the buds , like a fresh fruity NL mixed with cough medicine , when crumbled could be mistaken for a diesel cross , flavour is deep fruit/medicinal with a good aftertaste , definate hint of orange from one plant , unusual mix of heavy terpenes in a short flowering cross.

Looks mean more than they should around here , these happen to look stunning but would be keepers even if they looked like shit when cured.

High is very sativa , almost headrush , much more body effect than expected soon sets in and a good balance , more long lasting than other C99x have grown.

Been playing with stacking software , not sure that i like the results , different to the eye but both expressions smoke very similar.

Hi foomar m8, firstly tyvm for the feedback m8, it is invluable and helps steer us in the right direction, many heads are better than just the don and I's opinions and reactions to the line ;), it brings us closer to the goal.
Love your work and skills m8 and ty again

Thanks moon , these two are real yielders in subsequent runs and very cute , replaceing several C99x locally and stable to date.

The male is proveing of interest , a couple of Geisha x MBS testers are very dark in veg , not seen this before.

Hi m8, lovely pics. Glad to hear they are performing well. They should breed pretty dominent for certain traits in outcrosses reguardless of the variability in the mbs1 line. These traits are include dark colouration, high resin content, long length of effect, terpene profiles, and strutcture. Will be making the mbs2 soon as well as a backcross (mbs1 male x zc f2 fem3)
Good to see a line with 25%c99 in origional genetic make up competes well with 50% c99 crosses.
The 50% zoidfuel in the make up give it the unique terpene terpenoid profiles, aswell as the high effect and length of high. Zf influences this line heavily, but it does it from behind the scenes and in subtle ways if that makes any sence lol.
Anyways enough of my rambling lol, ty again m8

Thanks moon , not sure if the leaf colouration is genetic or cold induced micro nutrient defficiency.
Yield is very high whatever the cause and they sure look pretty , these three were revegged from late flower and chop day clones , no male structures found and minimal whorling , sign of good stability and worth crossing out.

Only plants ever seen with this bright distinctive leaf colour from early flower , looks cute but very strong , as with the blackberry the mites are much less invasive on the dark leaves whilst savageing surrounding green plants.

The first cross on this plant with a very dark BG male produced huge seeds with a particularly thick and hard shell indoors , looks like an MBS trait given the males previous results.

Beautiful picture there foomar ,,,
interesting what you mention about mites preferring the green leaf plants to the darker ones .

Hi Donald , have been seriously studying spider mites for two years , keeping a colony alive isolated in the shed , infecting test plants and noteing their movement , habits and reproductive cycles and testing assorted remedies and chemicals.

The mites breed and spread at around half the speed on a very dark plant , with minimal significant damage to the crop compared to that on its green sister.

Thanks lost , black and yellow makes a nice contrast , looks like a swarm of giant wasps in the corner , keeper grade regardless of looks.

the compounds linked with purpling in most plants seem to have the effect of slowing down infestations,, and increasing growth rates in cold climes,, whether its anthocyanins or what im not sure,,

Thanks moonunit , the seed from an MBS x Geisha test cross are huge in comparison to usual , 5+ mm thick shelled beauties , might need abradeing to pop.
