Then again what Tiger Trees did to Inkognyto was even worse and people (not me) still buy his Tiger trees and Compound genetics seeds.

can u explain how tiger trees wronged Inkognyto please. haven't had my ear to the streets in awhile. feel free to pm me since it's not on topic. thx. inkognyto was always a pretty cool dude. folks thought my list was off the hook. but ink had like close to 1k in strains on his bean list 3x times mines lol. it took me awhile just to read over all that it was dizzying. cannetics were the best days since over grow left, brief but sweet.

this thread has me hyped about i95.

are the recent top dawg crosses like garlic crem or sis-dmv good representations? it'd be nice to try something a little more... pure

I wouldn't think of genetics that are line bred to be "less pure".

I tend to think Top Dawg improves upon their original lines in their re-workings...

Wish Mike or JJ were up here DF.
Then they could tell us exactly what the goals for each strain were.

If a strain is "X", hybridization is seldom the method used to take it more in the "X" direction.
Hybrids are usually used to create something "new" right?
Maybe with "Like + Like" hybrids that combine different lines with similar traits.

Seems like there is a lot of common ground of traits in the chem/OG/sour universe where most of their mashups draw from, but from the perspective of someone outside of the TopDawg family, they do a pretty poor job in describing what the strains are supposed to end up like. You know . . . basic marketing or product documentation?
The traits and value of strains like Tres Dawg, Star Dawg and I-95 have become known in the community because of other people working with what sometimes have been extremely limited releases. This information has gotten out almost despite Top Dawg, not because of them.

Listings at seedbanks which simply give a pedigree of "obscure parent 1" x "obscure parent 2" don't help anyone.
I don't really care, but I just thought I might explain what you seemed to be missing in the real question from nepalnt21.

thanks, raho i think you nailed the spirit of my comment. i did recoil a bit from my usage of "less pure", but that's what rolled off the fingertips. just wondering if there's an authentic take on the original in the top dawg hybrids, and the ones i can find are only a quarter i95... i guess it's all in selection. i honestly have been foaming at the mouth for a sis cross for years anyway, but for that money it would be great to read others' opinions of the aroma/ effects... ok i'm rambling now... no more late night caffeine.

Fan leaves off a Fam95 plant that was a bit of a runt out of the shell. It's healthy now.

Has that chemdog stank to it. :joint:

Not sure. With these I think it is just the effect of them overlapping on each other. They didn't show any twisting in the early leaves, like you might see from GG4 or other Chem Sis crosses.

Healthy, big, fast growing leaves just trying to accommodate each other - would be my guess with these particular plants.

picked up some chem de la chem from a dispensary chemdog DXI95 very dank stuff, it has a cleaner lemon og smell a bit toned down from the D nastiness but the halitosis funk is there a bit

flavor is clean lemon citrus with a funk to it I've noticed in some larry I grew and in some 91 I've had before, it's really distinguishable I want to say fennel, and the way it mixes with the lemon makes it more grapefruit

nice heady feel it in the eyes trippy high with some body relaxation but still functional
