I do that too Funkyhorse, been doing it since the 70's. Loose, open, high power sativas, oxidate and loose quality over long term storage, the small open buds shatter and soon become crumbs if they are not packed in my experience. I like em if you can smoke leaves stems and all because they are covered in resin.

With all this SSH talk that reminds me I still have an unopened pack of both your SSSDH and the OG CHEM too, from around 2015.

Will have to think about running a pheno hunt of that SSSDH pack soon!

I can't recomend enough, as one haze lover to another, popping that sssdh pack asap. Cool plants in there, the really hazey ones are very nice haze effects in a hybrid body. Sour diesel girls are amazing too, if that's your thing

I was just wondering if anybody noticed ny purple haze smell in there grandaddy purp from ken estes? Because ive smoked both and they are litetally the same smell. High is different so is growth but the smell is the same.

Its just one charecteristic of haze but the smell is identical. High , growth etc..are different but just found that interesting

Haze hybrids suit me better now of the last 7 yrs. I can’t handle the strong indica Dom’s now in my early 50s lol
I’m running the ssh 98 cut current and the old sage clone. I lost one of my favs the sage n sour clone. And also the old chocolope clone during covid times. I’m thinking to make my own cross for seeds to use myself. If you want to done right and all.
I’m looking for the Allen wrench clone and the nycd I miss them both! Might try a few packs of different soma seeds for fun.

Whats the old sage clone like? i had an old pack i ran over 10 years back and there was a really nice creamy tasting(i vaguely remember something a bit like baileys irish cream) very strong too.

I had some freebies of there modern version a few years ago and they were not the same sadly.

If i had my old bean collection with me, i would be germ testing those old Ghaze, right now, ha. They have to be eighteen to twenty years old, now. No idea who from, but had three different packs, and think that i may have gifted a couple out, cuz of not able to do them myself. Some of you guys might know who all were gifting G13 hazes back in the good ol days. Might have been from, or via Clips, too. There were a lot of G13 crosses going around, at one time. But when that old G13 Haze male was mentioned, i just had to wonder if i had some from him, in one of those packs. And maybe none of the seeds from that particular male were ever gifted, i dunno.

I noticed that to,purple strains smell like purple strains.

Hi mate. The old sage is not from dna seeds, it just share’s the same name. It’s a lot like amnesia less bubble more spice. The sour sage was one of my fav sours.

Hey @ojd I just dug into the fridge for a bit of a sativa hunt and one of the packs I picked was an old server fund pack that came from you. Its the strawberry cough x SSSDH. Do you have any pics or insight on what to expect with these?

That's an old strain , nice.

I dont have any pics saved but there was a test grow on here years back and several pics from members.

Quite SSSDH dominant , so stretch can be 2 even 3 weeks in flower unless vegged until mature or from clone.
Nice yielder throws a long cola , amazing Resin content ans a delicious Strawberry or Lemonade type smell/taste depending on which pheno and side it leans to.
Nice and potent just how we like it.

Hardest part is it could have some real stretchy phenos( SSSDH leaners) and it can need 12 weeks , there are 8-9 × week phenos from clone ( Strawberry leaners)

The Old Sage is/was a THseeds strain and flowers were sold in the Katsu coffeshop Amsterdam for years , was a very special cut and 1 of my favourites back then. Real shame Katsu coffeshop used to be 1 of the best shops in town for Haze , but last time I went all famous Haze's they used to sell were gone and replaced with new candy strains from Cali like most menus in Amsterdam these days.

Miss that NL5 Haze special plus from Katsu and the 10 other Hazes, and even Haze scissor Hash , those were the days

Thanks for that info. I dont mind stretchy 12 weekers, anything less is a bonus. I can't wait to see what I find. Some tails already sprouting on these this morning. Less than 24 hours and these beans have to be 12-15 years old now.

Hey Bmac1! Nice pick with the Strawberry Sour Haze! I had one plant from seed some years ago and I found her pics in my thread. Mine was super vigorous and very SSSDH dom, which is not a bad thing at all It was the biggest plant in the grow. Here are the pics from 2018:
