Hey guys! I’ve started a greenhouse hydro grow, with a system of my design. 12/68 gallon flood sites with 4 gallon net pots. 6 hydroton, and 6 coco/pearlite. Passive ebb and flow fed by 1000 gallon reservoir. I’m running cutting edge solutions full nutrient line, full strength. 1200 ppm, 73 degrees, 6.0 ph. Let me know what you think!

Beautiful sandy soil like that and you go hydo. I will never understand it. To each their own I guess.
Enlighten me.. I’ve always struggled with nitrogen deficiency because of it.. once the feeder roots get out of the soil I provide my babies struggle to fix nitrogen

Drip irrigation can help with soil erosion that will expose roots. Also when this happens to my plants I side dress with compost. There are many dry amendments that you can incorporate into the soil to help add nitrogen. If they need N instantly add some liquid fish fertilizer. Hope that helps.

O my God. I love it! And your sandy soil is gorgeous also haha. I guess it's just better to dig in to bury barrels. You didn't mention your general location. Are you summersr mild? How often do you have to flood now? Man.. I'm curious how much they drink per day. With those bare roots coming out of net pots and heat and real sun. Must be more flood then drain. I use media top fed a few times a day and some days it needs to be adjusted if the greenhouse is hot. Can't imagine having bare roots.
Wish i saw more stuff like this. I get that it isn't practical and lots of work, especially on scale so it's uncommon. But it would be cool to see more experiments.
