Keep a lookout, I keep trying to poke them to further work with the remaining beans that are being held! Oft times things get donated to the SF on the bay. Patience is key I suppose!

ok now that sub has spoken up, i can fairly say he should be able to get ahold of the cut i brought back down and if he likes it he can do f2 work with her.... or as he stated he has stock i'm headed up north after a bit to see fam and grab some things so i CAN source the Royal like a king sources a queen!

We can only hope sub gets back around to this project. Well some of us LOL. The only thing I have left is one seed of the p91 x iron cindy, the dabney x purple joy was great as well. 5 of each, first war with mites. (lesson learned.)

so last night i took five cuts off my latest HTC skunk ibl male...gonna throw him around a little bit...make some more skunk seeds w the females i have...as soon as i see roots on the cuts im gonna throw his big ass into a spare bedroom and flower....i know im gonna hit valley og, chem d, and sour dubble,....pollen will be stored away and he will be backed up...if he crosses as well as my last one there will be more skunk crosses to come...maybe i should get the royal back ...its always nice to get something and have it be what i was told...an advantage to having friends like ohgee....
---i would have liked to cross my c99 male to one of these females...mellow that intensity out a bit...shit...may have to throw some of revs f3 cindy beans i have left...they seemed every bit as stable as his f4s did...

heres my take on this whole purple thing...first let me say when people call us elitists and anal obsessive pricks for smoking peoples asses for renaming, this is why it burns me up...cuz it leads to situation where no one knows what the hell is what...

-----so here we go...this is my purple story:
met a dude who opened one of first dispensaries in dago(met him thru sophisto-one of the og sdf dudes...miss him)...dude would go to humbolt to p u cuts....he had a tray w 11 cuts labeled GDP....10 big strong beauties and one odd smaller cut....he gave me this one...just called it gdp....later, saw dudes grow, he is perhaps the worst grower i had ever seen(ph'd his water then added nutes as an example)...but he was getting these gigantic beautiful purple colas(now i believe that cut to be kens gdp)....kind of assumed it was maybe purple erkle(the odd cut i was gifted)...after a bit...a breeder here at icmag and i started talking and he swore up and down it was a gdp cut...well, he ended up getting it...and came back w the royal tag...now, i had heard of the royal cut, but never paid attention...and for ease, we on sdf just started calling it the royal cut, it wasnt a "ours is better then yours" thing...matter a fact, most of us who had access to it, dropped it in search of the better yielding phenos or purples...i personally gave that cut to APE about 5-6 times...and well, love bro to death, but we all know there were....er...plenty of mixups w his labeling system! ha...
---now, the sr71 cut cali is talking about was sooooooooo close to this particular royal it was ridiculous! the primary diff, imo, was sr71 had a lil sweeter, grapier almost taste...w berry, the royal cut was much more.....oaky....like a wine barrel thats been drained but still has the aroma of wine in it....the royal cut we had was a bit more potent, and very much like bubba in that she just didnt like getting big...actually got better harvests in organic....another trait she had, which maybe someone will note somewhere, is when pollinated, that cut would literally burst w seeds...i remember weighing a seeded bud that was like 8-9 grams, the material left over after seeding was less then a gram....just purple husk over seeds...ridicolous!
---i hope one of us somewhere still has it...she is nice for sure....i can say that IMO, her main use, for me, would be breeding....if you want potent purple...grab that fucking purple joy cut spicoli/smoketrees and stoney joe released....its a great cut and we should not wait til its gone to realize how good it is(like madness)

---this is actually kinda a crappy picture, but this is gdpskunk....my first project ever....actually prefer it to the royal...i know...that sounds biased...but ask ohgee!...spicoli called it gdpcream(which sounds kinda gross now that i see it typed out! ha)...but this pheno tasted EXACTLY like the mama...with something added...much like cali's green ice-green crack plus something else- and the purpleskunk yield was easily two-three times as much

Yours looks a bit different then ours. Mine came from a grower in Humboldt. We are not sure if it is GDP or Mendo Purps. It has a strong Lemon Grape flavor. Serious couchlock.

well...its supposed to be...i got her back, spread her around, kept one cut and seeded her....she was so fat w seeds she didnt look like herself...or any other purple...but the smell was dead spot on...i have one purple99 seedling going...hopefully female...hopefully be able to tell from that one...

bump indeed! very happy to say that the gdpskunk project summer 2011 is on!...a friend and fellow icmagger is generously offering his grow space and time to do an open pollination of the f1 seeds...this will not be a huge grow by any stretch...we are going to shoot for 4-6 males and 4 to 6 females...unconstitutional plant # limits aside...its a space thing...and for our initial purposes...good enough...cuts will be kept of each male and female(of the f1s we use)....judged...and dealt w accordingly...and if all goes well...the rest of the f1 seed can be used later to widen the pool a little...so ohgee, trop, and a few others...there ya go bros!....
---as it pertains to HTC forums...another skunk ibl male has been selected for testing and some interesting skunk crosses will be at the server fund before winter for testing...hopefully to include the purple joy x skunk ibl...get some folks to run side by side comparison grows...aaaaand i see i already posted this...im old...and high...and forgetful....and devastatingly handsome...

we no longer have the same GDP cut... Well, OHGEE said he can source it... But currently subrob doesnt have it anymore...
Maybe use a male from the GDP Skunk F1's and hit it to Purple Joy.. Or use a male from the F2's that are gonna be made...
