Geographic Chronology of Nuclear Weapon Detonations

H

h^2 O

this probably should have gone in the videos section, but it's so crazy it deserves more attention. Some of you may have already seen it. Pull up a chair and watch the fireworks begin!

Keep an eye on the top right corner, as it shows the date - historical events correlate to detonations...before peace talks, before wars, etc.

I wonder if launching nuclear bombs in the water like that, could it not have a link with the tsunamis and other natural disasters

it's a bit disturbing watching this video (thanks for sharing none the less)

launching thousands of nuke on the planet, have a hard time believing there will be no consequences because of that

Watch the documentary Countdown to Zero as it's excellent regarding the Earth's nuclear issue. Also the older British docudrama 'The War Game' made in 1965 is pretty freaky! Highly recommend both.

wtf does this have to do with dinosaurs?? :chin:

We determine the age of dinosaur fossils using radiometric dating. Measuring the ratios between radioactive elements (like uranium) with the products of their decay (like lead), we can determine how long ago these creatures walked the earth.

What does this have to do with nukes? Well, if some advanced non-human civilization rises 65 million years from now, they won't be able to use the same methods to date our fossils. All those open air nuclear tests screwed it up for any future paleontologists studying our species. Even trace amounts of radioactive fallout, spread worldwide, are enough to throw off the "natural" levels of these radioactive elements and the future levels of their products of decay.

I just love the fact that there was a debate over if the first fusion (Read:Hydrogen Bomb) would set ALL of the oxygen in the atmosphere on fire. (Fusion is what happens inside the sun.)

How you like to be a fly in that room?

FWIW there is more radioactive released into the atmosphere burning coal than with nuclear power plants.

Im not sure if its just a volume thing or not. Nuclear fusion ftw.

The dinosaurs are trying to wipe us off the earths history books by inventing nukes, and then testing them, then using them to cleanse the earth once again..kinda clever for some damn lizardssss..

Doomsday Films: Footage of Nuclear-Weapons Tests Declassified

After decades spent slowly disintegrating in high-security vaults, thousands of historic films of U.S. nuclear weapons tests have been salvaged, including some that have been newly declassified. The incredible footage shows enormous mushroom clouds ballooning over the horizon in what could be a doomsday flick.

In total, an estimated 10,000 films were created of nuclear weapons tests between 1945 and 1962...........
