First time grower, week 7

How do they look? Been flowering for 7 weeks.
Don't know what strains they are, unfortunately.
Any ideas? Could be train wreck, dynamite, or nepalese (according to the guy we bought the cloans from)
I think they are an indica dominate strain though.

Hey, nice grow for your first time out! I would say that they are Indica dominant from the size and shape of the colas. How long did you veg those babies for?

I dont know.....those leaves look decidedly mixed to me. Not very fat at all. Cola does look indica though....

But we're wondering what the real determination is to "WHEN" to harvest?
Size, color, shape, smell......??

400 watt MH for vegging
400 watt HP for flowering
Veg for 5 weeks
flower for 8 weeks

All personal choice at the end of the day.

What if you used your lights

400 watt MH for vegging
400 watt HP for flowering

for growing AND for flowering, 800w vs 400w, recommended or not? I have the same lights you do and i am about to grow, I thought about using both at all times or just using MH for veg and HPS for flowering.

using both lights is a god idea if u can deal with the heat, mixed spectrum is cool, but what sort of hps, some horticultural bulbs have added blue in their spectrum anyway, but on the whole go 4 it
