Looks good. Interested to see how the EasyBake works out, seems good so far. Almost impossible to get Espoma up here, or at least I haven't found a source without paying to ship it over the border.

It definitely seems that there arent as many options in Canada compared to the US. Maybe better to say that it seems to take quite a bit more digging up here.

So today is day 20 since going to 12/12 and things are coming along nicely.

The chemsour#1 crosses are frosting up nicely and seem to be really loving life. The chemsour #2 cross is the stretcher of the bunch, along with the DSD#2. Its not frosting up as quick as the others though but it is still very early.

The DSD#2, as stated above, is a stretchy bitch too and is frosting up quite nicely. More-so than the previous 2 DSD females I have run so that excites me. She is showing a bit of claw in the leaves the last couple days so I am guessing she is going to be the light feeder of the bunch. Other than that, she looks real nice.

The Purple Dream has tiny trichomes and it just glistens in the light as there are so many of them. She is a real frostitute, lol. A tiny bit of the claw on that one too but otherwise all are really coming along nicely.

Here are the pics:

The few pics I took of the chemsour#2 cross were all blurry so they got deleted. I need to put some time into getting better with this camera so all my pics arent so blurry.

We are on day 28 of 12/12 as of today. Things still appear to be doing ok. I am thinking that the mix may be a little N rich as I am seeing more clawing, also a bit of twisting on some tips.

The most affected are the tallest colas, one on the DSD and one on the chemsour#2. They are not getting as much light and I think I need to raise the light a bit and put something under the 3 shorter plants.

I am still giving a weekly tea and just water in between teas. I have been putting dirt in the plain water to deal with the chlorine and it seems to work. When I fill the bucket it almost smells like bleach. When I put the dirt in, the smell disappears almost instantly.

Here is the weekly group shot from day 28:

ChemSour x SSCDH f2 #2 @ 28 days 12/12. At this point, she doesnt have the frost or aroma of #1 but I think she is going to produce some nice buds for sure.

Hey Bmac
Your tent is looking great. The frost seems there on all your girls. Your PD looks healthy as a horse and frost running all the way down the sugar leaves.
One of my girls is N sensitive. I put her on water only and new growth seems better so your not alone.

I'm wondering if it could even possibly be from over watering. The dsd and the pd seem to drink a bit slower as those two always seem to have the most run off. I try to have very little if any run off but these two always get some. I am still learning to keep them moist and it's a fine line I'm dancing on.

I defiantly let my girls dry out and then flood them. In my experience the ones with the killer root systems dry out the quickest. I don't let them wilt but top soil is dry a good 2".

Hi, in my experience it's better that to keep the surface a bit dry and is important alternate dry and wet periods. if you keep them always moist, might appear mold/fungi, pests and of course, rotten roots. At the end organic soil is a whole habitat.

Each plant have her own conditions and limits, even if it's the same strain. In adittion, those individual circunstances are changing continuously when growing, i.e. at the end of the flo they need less water. So when I run any strain for the first time I go a bit wrong usually because I don't know what she need.

So irrigation is a whole ritual for me, it's when I examine them one by one, keeping out dried leaves and carving the soil a bit with the fingers in order that the water ingress better. I use to do it at the moment that the lights start.

A very famous trick to know if you must to water the plants it's introduce a finger 5 cm on the soil, if the feeling is wet, flood them other day. Other trick is the weight of the pot, when it is lightly it's just the moment.

Ok, there is a thin line between wilt and healthy but that's the point of this beautiful game with organic soil. Anyways, once you know your keepers all becomes easy, except when you are very busy and need to put your attention in other things. The moment when growing shifts to the background, it's just the moment that you wish an authomatic aero/hydro system...

Vibes.

I have always run wet and dry cycles in the past, letting the pots dry up and get light before flooding them to run off. With the new organic adventure, I have been reading that you want to keep the soil moist for the microbial activity. Its a fine line im dancing and its hard to move them around once they get big. I am thinking for future runs, I will get a couple moisture meters for the few plants in the back that I cant really lift to check weight.

I am intrigued by the idea of blumats for sure. I may give them a go one day.
