Even if the substrate isn't fully colonized you can try and fruit it.. The reason why full colonization is required is because when a substrate is fully colonized it's very resistant to contamination.. So if it doesn't fully colonize it's prob contaminated or just too wet.. But you can always try to fruit anyways..

I think it's too wet. Man. . . I really thought I did that part well too! Oh well. I'll try some jar to jar inoculations for another round, and in the meantime I'll try and fruit these. I may as well since I have to wait for more jars to colonize anyways.
