I’ve used the Dynavap with a torch for a while, and I totally understand what you're saying about the learning curve. I found that lowering the temperature and using a slower, more controlled method helped prevent that. But if you’re looking for something a bit more consistent, I switched to pod systems for vaping and found a Dinner Lady liquid to give me a smooth experience without the risk of combustion. It’s not as complex as the Dynavap, but it’s simple and reliable, with no risk of over-heating or wasting material.
