How are Canadians feeling about their cannabis laws?
Are you ok with growing 4 plants at a time per house?
Craft growing is a touchy subject atm, seeing as all the large LPs are black balling everyone. A public place for Information about laws such as here is what I am aiming for. Hopefully with a few people keeping it up to date.

Well, I think Canadians have it pretty good compared to the way it was and is in other places. Four plants can be grown 4 times a year. That is 12 plants a year and if you need more weed, then just go to the store and buy a 1/2 oz at a time. It is legal!!! That is what I call pretty fricking cool friend. Count your blessings because there are still people going to jail and prison for weed today. 😎

... as a single user, 4 plants is more than enough for me. AAMOF, I only do 2 runs/yr

This is true, and for a personal stash its nice to grow a years worth of your own.
But buying weed from a dispensary here sucks, its not like the states. Our craft growers are getting fucked into the ground by legislature and are having to irradiate their weed to meet health canada standards for mold spores on ingestable products and what not. Its a shit show.
The legacy guys are having to sell their weed to places like WeGrow at $1-2 per gram, 455 dollar pound? its not bad but you cant pay people to trim it nicely at that price.. so then its all getting mechanically trimmed knocking off the good stuff...... you see what im getting at...
please don't sugar coat the log turd the candaian government has handed its people with "your lucky its legal".. we are.. because i can grow my own, but for the regular consumer.. they are now smoking irragiated weed covered in "botanical terps"; tree saps for flavor and sprayed with synthetic cannabinoids like the hemp CBD derived delta8-9 THC...
I'm honestly willing to go to jail to provide people with weed that is actually weed and wont harm them. It'd be an honor.

My only gripe is mothers and plants vegging count as 4 plant limit. I would prefer 4 flowering defined with a max 4 flower / 4 veg-mothers. Males excluded.

I do 2 runs a year with just 2 flowering at a time. Honestly, I am able to harvest close to 2lbs (32oz) a year and I give back to all my friends at least 16oz a year.

My friend can grow up to 40 plants at a time and it just became too much. Buckets everywhere. People who do not grow prefer to buy from dispensaries, just like booze. You most likely wouldn't buy your booze from some person your friend knows that distills it.

I prefer to grow and swap with friends growing other strains.

It is great to be legal and not worry about cops ruining your right to a joint.

The last flower I bought was from a MOM before legalization. I grow my own and yes, 4 are enough for any standard home grower imho. I have grown kilos over the last five years but I do dip into the stores to sample hash occasionally. Everybody wants to be a breeder or a preservationist etc but really most just pollen chuck for frankenstrain fun and if you want more than 4, you can just buy a med license. Of course, that is not the wisest choice if you are still growing for profit in the BM.

What we have to fight for is for is for the feds to loosen the marketing and particularly the sale’s handcuffs and let budtenders properly display and show the product in the store. Once consumers can see and smell before they buy, the small producers with premium products will rise to the top as they should and the bunk can settle at the bottom where it belongs.

i have not and never will enter a cannabis retail store until true craft , farmer to market cannabis and concentrates are a reality. I know that there are some projects going on in the southeastern corner of BC that are building models that could allow for farms.... ie outdoor acreages or greenhouse properties to have farm to customer sales, tours, educational events and even entertainment events like cups and concerts. I don't know much on details I just heard it was potentially where it was going.

Most friends of mine are growing more than 4 plants...... not many more but more..... Many of them don't want to be growing all year round and some consume way more weed when they are squishers turning all thier harvests into rosin.

Now , nobody should need to break the law when it comes to plant counts when it so ridiculously easy to get a health canada grow license. The system is a farce, having to pay to play but seriously..... emeail tony at license to grow and set it up.... pay your money, get your appointment with the nurse practicioner on skype or what's app or zoom or whatever....... tell her/him you consume cannabis for sleep, eating and mood swings and lower backpain...... bam!! you are a cannabis patient ..... fill out your form , send it to health canada..... wait a few weeks or so and when that paper arrives you can grow to your hearts content for a full year within whatever plant count you paid for.

Personally it;s a no brainer..... why buy unkown origin products from a licensed store when you can grow your own and as much as you feel like.
I have very real and legitimate needs for cannabis and fortunately the doctors and pain specialist I currently have are encouraging my continued use of cannabis so I have very real reasons for a higher plant count than 4 plants...... So my plant count was 110 indoor, 29 outside but not at same time. So all winter I pheno hunt to my hearts content and usually do at least one flower run. Then by spring I have already selected my 29 ladies for outside and I veg them up real good before they go out for my short season at 52N/3000ft.
The lions share of my yearly smoke comes from my greenhouse, Cant beat that free sunshine ;)

anyways..... don't bother with this 4 plant limit nonsense....... get a health canada grow license and grow on my friends..... grow on.

One of the interesting things about growing for a few years is, you always pick the strains that YOU LIKE.

So the strain mix in your grow room or rooms, becomes EXACTLY what your head likes.

You craft your own pharmaceuticals, using Cannabis as the Vehicle.

and in order to do that, you need a fair plant count sometimes.

I recently reached out to Tony to try to chat about an ACMPR license but haven't got a response so i thought it was a dud.
Have you gone through this same service?

I have used the License to Grow service since they first started as a consultant firm.
Not sure why they aren't replying to you but they are a busy service I do know that.

HARDER LAUGHTER!!!
You are right, most non distillers/brewers/fermenters buy their alcohol from a store because they are ignorant and it is easier to buy garbage off the shelf. Anyone educated on the subject seeks out that friend of a friend who creates clean alcohol.

Similar to cannabis, most people have no clue about the impact of poor quality alcohol on the quality of life and health.

The closest I come to home-made alcohol is the sugar-water-alcohol mixture that ends up when I do CO2 supplementation for Cannabis plants indoors.

If I could I would donate it to the nearest prison, I'm sure those ladies & gentlemen could use some 10% alcohol.
