does Cal-mag + r/ o = tap water...?

does Cal-mag + r/ o = tap water...?

I wanna replace r/o and cal-mag with tap at 240 ppm.... I read that the tds in tap water are from lime, which is calcium and magnesium....:dunno:

can I bag the r/o and cal-mag for straight tap.....?

While Cal/mag and R/O dont technically = tap water (tap water has more in it than just calcium and Mag), you most certainly can ditch the R/O and use tap.
I use my tap (300 ppm) and Maxibloom and I have never had to use cal/mag.
A friend of mine uses 50/50 tap/RO with Maxibloom and he too never has to use cal/mag.
Mind you not all tap water will cut it, some Municipalities have water so nasty that I would never drink it. Experiment with one plant and see.

PS, supermanlives is correct, you can use lime and epsom salts.
