BAY 11: Strain info. and PICS!

I just finished a Bay Dream recently, from 2 freebies. One was male and used to pollenate a Purple Arrow clone-only plant, the other a female with definite Bay 11 leanings. No discernible Blue Dream in my pheno at all, unfortunately.
But what I did get was very lovely looking in late flower. Purple, red, orange, greens, yellow, just wonderful autumn colors. Not an outwardly odoriferous plant, but the dried/cured/ground flowers definitely have a kushy funk to them. The purple coming through in the ground flowers looks cool, too.
The taste for me so far has been kushy, chem, skunk. Those are the three that definitely came to mind every time I smoked it so far.
The high has been noticeably hybrid, maybe slightly sativa but not like Blue Dream. I think I may have to smoke a bit more and pay closer attention. I have been getting some stuff done lately, but I can't remember which weed accompanied that. I'll update when I smoke more.

I agree too that there has been a fair bit of confusion regarding GDP genetics. I don't really care what the problems were or who was to blame, that's all someone else's problem. IMO, GDP is selling a consumer product and not breeder stock. If you want to grow/smoke, you're good. If you want documented lineage, GDP may not be the best option. No biggie, there's a seed provider for every need.

Also growing the Candyland right now, excited to have a stretchy bitch who looks like she won't yield for shit, as I've heard this to be the GSC pheno. I'm anticipating little "golf ball" nugs on her, we'll see in the next few weeks.
Can't really lose with this cross, IMO. Plants leaning to either parent should be great.

no disrespect tp pnwgrower cuz he really tries to clear everything up for us but the gdp company has been very dishonest and back and forth with their genetic descriptions. ive personally seen 3 different lineages of the bay 11 straight from their mouth, glad they finally settled on one with the appy x og.

also got 3 different lineages of the kens kush, guess they finally settled on one for that one too.

but through it all can we really believe them? who the fuck knows what they really are after all the misinformation. if youre gonna lie at least keep the same lie and dont keep changing it, that makes it worse lol.

so i never believe what they say but one thing i know for sure, is the seeds produce dank buds so i guess its ok to that extent.

i got the bay 11 beans after sampling the buds (which i guess werent even bay 11 and were just appalacia lol) but i popped about 6 of em and theyre looking dank, getting real big, cant wait to flower, and if i get a good male i might fuck with it.

im also looking for a male in some green crack x appalacia beans so that would be a cool cross green crack/appalacia x appalacia/og kush. we'll see.

Ready for some new info? EVEN after posting what i did concerning the TRUE lineage of bay11, Ken finally came out with "Its appalachia x gdp" NO OG KUSH

I NO LONGER WORK WITH KEN AND HAVE STARTED MY OWN COMPANY...
Ken is the most unprofessional, unknowledgeable people ive ever met and hes okay with putting out lies just to sell his seeds. Sure, everything for the most part that was created under the granddaddy genetics name by me or the other breeder was good, but there was just always a lack of correct info coming from Ken.

The only reason theres been any misinformation was because Ken wasnt the breeder and always got second hand information. He was never the breeder, nor was he in the garden much.
Seeds from Granddaddy Genetics are absolutely breeders stock if one wants. You know how many people have used our gear to make new strains? TONS.
As stated above, I no longer work with Ken, and ive moved on to form my own company. Be on the lookout "DUNGEONS VAULT GENETICS"

whats your biggest headthumper in that new lineup I see available, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks in advance. Also if the label on Bay 11 is white, simple and just says grandaddy purple, bay 11, reg, is that yours, I hope so? Appreciate your time.

As far as straight couchlock??
I'd say kens grand og will have some of the most indica traits of them all, but that flowerchild is some kill too.

thanks man, I see your dungeon lineup, very nice, thank you.

I don't want, nor would anyone interested in the actual lineage of their breeding stock.
With so many cannabis consumers fanatic about documented histories and lineage, I don't see bullshit genetics as an economically sound starting point when so many more respected sources are available.
Mind you I don't mean the actual plants when I say bullshit, just the stories of their origin, which you have confirmed above as bullshit.

You know how many people have used our gear to make new strains?

No, and I doubt I could possibly care any less than I do at present about that number.

Oh well there you have it then. Thanks?

Best of luck to you. GDPG have some nice plants for sure so if you can add some integrity to that, I believe you will do rather well.

Ken did not breed the GDP either.. the credit there goes to a fellow named chris giauque who went missing off Spyrock Rd.

I am running some Bay 11 now and they do want to flower with the least amount of stress but they also go back to vegging very quickly once you make them happy. Wish I could get more seeds.

One thing I can say for sure about Ken Estes is that he knows good weed. He may not be the breeder of any of the strains that his brand offers but it is a good bet that if he has branded it it is gonna be good. His grandad is good and stable and much like the original grandad. If he steals the genetics its because they are worth stealing. lmao All of us who make our own seeds steal the genetics to create our own masterpiece. I am not a fan of the character of Ken but I gotta admit I am a fan of the stuff he brands. :)
Loved the outdoor Bay 11 from last year. Great high, great flavor... mmm I'm doing my own this year.

Not heard of Chris Giauque, but what a creation!
I love that gdp flavour.
Is it known what he used to breed it?

Re, Bay11~

So now the lineage is
Appalachia (Tre's dawg x green crack) x Gdp ?

Luckily I have another pheno which has not shown any
Hermie traits, so far.
Let's hope it stays that way.

The one posted above only dropped a banana or two right at the end of week 8.
Medium yield bit smell and taste where real good. Nice dreamy high.
The funk is hard to describe.especially as
Were unsure of parents, as a few diff parentages have been posted.
Not really like any of its said parts,
Re, green crack, tresdawg, og, GDP, ?
Smokes and tastes the same.
Kind of citrus, fruity, petrol and skunk.
Def worth pheno hunting a stable female.
Bay 11 has potential but the line needs work,in my opinion.

I didn't rate it the pheno I had. Gave me the best yield I have ever had 95oz off 4 600w, But the quality of the smoke was the worst I have ever grown also. I also had a few bananas about week 11 in.
