Bad mixes?

I've seen the moviestar plants, now I wanna' see the buttugly ones.

What are some of the really bad mixes of strains? What are some commercial strains that really sucked? Which one is the "Yugo" of them all?


Does anyone have a pick of a crossed plant that was no better then rope?

Must say ive yet to come across a bad one myself.Jamica Blueberry yeided really low smoked powerfull,it was my own fault as I didnt give her long enough in vege.

ever considered,the term, "Phenotypic Expression" ?
i thought you were breeding?
just because you crossed two random dank strains
doesnt mean all the resulting progenty will be dank.
dont work that way.
especially when workin with these superdupermultihybrids i see in yer sig
do a search here for the term: RECCESIVE TRAITS , and VARIATION
maybe do a lil research in the HTC forum,
his sticky topics are invaluable resources
and a great start in the right direction if you plan to forward your breeding skills.

But isn't adding some variation to the gene pool good for the plants, preventing excessive inbreeding etc.. Like with wolves when they inbreed for too long in the pack their immune systems stop functioning properly etc...

but yes. you are correct.

when dealing in long-time inbred lines (think, 'landraces') that are losing strength genetically
as in mutants, lack of vigour, and resistance, et al

again, this has nothing to do with what is being said here, or off my fingertips anyway..

i was referring to what he's working with to be honest with you.
crossing a strain with a million unrelated ancestors (a multihybrid)
to another of unrelated lineage with a million different (unrelated) lines in its makeup,
and carrying the aforementioned mentality of dankxschwagg=schwagg
would mean he also believes that dank+dank=dank
these are nice dreams but in reality you get variation and can select and work from there

breeding aint about bangin out as many 'f1' hybrids as you can, its about takin 1 single line and workin it to the balls until its perfected

but i digress
not only is this a heated issue,
this is all off topic,not to mention BASIC stuff.

'Cracks Mystery' its Neville's Haze x Lowrider f1 ........... haha that cross is horrible........ I can only imagine. The only pheno typic "range" that it is going to include is the 9 week autoflower traits of the lowryder, even replacing some of the recessive genomes in lowryder with dominant genomes whose phenotypic expression is that of nevilles haze, which takes 14+ to flower...... so essentially all you are doing is replacing probably most of lowryder's desired traits, with traits of nevilles haze, desirable or not..... which will never ever mature on such an early maturing plant......... shit that thing has to taste like chlorophyll huh?

as far as im concerned you can cross anything (few exceptions) and get smokable pot
so lets work on creating stuff that breeds true, rather than shits a different pheno every seed.

i dont see me as a breeder i´m learning just the basics now,
yap ya right i´m very confused .... but dankxdank=dank is untrue i think as you cant insure that the strains having any hidden traits like hermie,sterility......

Again were talking about polyhybrids . And multiple polys' , so close in tha line anyway, seem more of a hobby type venture.But as several of you know , I'll be doing a selecting and stabilization project with BlockHead and basically just workin it to tha balls , as Capt. Jack had put it.
