nice show, man. all the way up. 
weekly update
and then there was one
am down to L now. i am going to keep
the whole 300 watts on it. did not want to
unplug 1/2 the bar and let it get only 150 watts.
here is whole plant shot

it has some neat bud shapes to it.
well down to 1 plant. so this show will be
over soon. been a fun little project.

loving the wide array of colors in the buds
an impressive show.

at 100% power, we recommend 12-18 inches.

will throw my opinion into thread this
weekend. just for the info all the plants were
grown in 1 gal pyramid pots. filled with worm
castings, compost and recycled soil. i have
worm bins. then the recycled soil has got worms
going thru it also. then jacks classic for ferts and
a little epsom salt's.

first thank you again at mars hydro for the contests.
i have only used some LEDs for side lighting before they were lacking.
so i am a man of my word i said i was doing a thread in B&W so i did.
i went into this grow with a open mind. and learned as i went.
ok here is my opinion on lights and grow.
1st off i was learning as i went. LED’s are new to me. a HID user.
i had a few mishaps this grow. must be because i did a thread. lol
i really like the plant light coverage from above.
i was having lights to close. is 12-18” i have learned now.

lots of stretch the 2 weeks of 12/12 3-4” more or so.
buds look like HPS grown. longer less big around buds. but greasier looking.
calyx’s do not swell as much as they do under MH. leafs are also smaller.
is the same with HPS vs MH bud shape and swelling of buds.
think mold was from some hot humid days outside. also lack of 1k heat to dry the air.
the hermi on a plant that never has before i do not know why.
2 plants did not finish as quickly as normal. both went 2 weeks longer. not a problem.
i would say LED’s went about 2’ deep into plants light wise.
HID 1k’s go about 2 1/2’ deep into plants. is why i did some taller
and some shorter. i ran all my strains to really test them on everything.
was much less watering and fert’s for the plants as the LED’s and room was cooler.
as for yield was over 1/4 lb per plant. a good amount for 600 watts. with tweaking and
adding plants. could have been better. it did well in my opinion for my first try and testing
plant size. mostly grow 1-2 plants at a time. i grew out all my strains for this thread.
i grow for smoke not for sale. i have plenty of smoke. will be cloning off clones a while.
i think LED’s would be great for those with heat problems. i have cold room so need the
HID heat in the winter. i think they did well i will try them again in the future.
