1k hps El Chapo run looking for a keeper

For this run just using one of my 1k hps. Basically I procrastinated an had to get something setup asap to flower. So I thru together a panda film room with a couple 2x3s. Can fan an filter. Have 15 El Chapo plants almost a week into flower. This run is only to find a keeper for a mother. Then I will be setting up all 3 of my 1ks in a new room. Canna coco & full line of nutes with a few other additives. I did let them get root bound early on an were neglected some. Here's to finishing strong. I do like to prune fan leaves to promote bud sites always has worked very well for me. Still need to finish cleaning out the grow space, was in a hurry so I just built around some junk lol

Grabbed a few pics today, smell is really starting to ramp up. I'll trim the few I missed when I water tomorrow. So far just canna A&B with rhizo after after the transplant. Their in 8" pots. Starting to throw pistols.

They are getting close to the light I might have to turn the light down to 600w so they don't bleach smh.

No real update on them besides being taller so figured I'd show what's going on outside, there's 3 more all about the same size besides the one monster, unfortunately them seeds all got mixed up, no idea what's what

Ohh while trimming I did find one of the El Chapo plants has hollow stems, it's literally like bamboo I could use it as a straw. Not sure where this trait comes from, definitely gives me doubts about supporting the weight of the buds. I do have actually bamboo sticks for support if need be

So a couple plants are almost touching the glass on the hood an one actually was above the hood. Had to bend an pinch it's 3 tops hopefully doesn't effect yeild to much. 3 plants are standing out right now going to take clones this week, waiting on my new setup to get delivered. My old dome was crushed smh

Down to 14 btw, with the stretch an half the plants getting very close to the light I had to turn it down to 600w which meant the smallest plant wasn't going to get enough light. Over 1ft shorter than the next shortest. So it got the chop. Interesting enough this was the one with the hollow stems. Middle of week 3 iirc have to check my calendar, I know it's sometime of week 3 right now

pinched a little too hard used some tape, it's worked in the past for me. Hope it heals. Didn't really have a choice it was above the hood

This stretch is serious . I checked its day 21 right now. Had to do some more pinchingOne of them is starting to stand out as a heavy yielder an very strong sour smell already.

A little super cropping action can be very helpful. You have to deal with the stretch somehow. Things are looking sweet and progressing nicely. Your green thumb is showing.

Had to do some more pinching, took the photos first. The crystals have doubled in the last 2 days, smell just keeps building. As soon as I open the door it smacks you in the face. I'll get up close shots with the light off over the weekend

Sorry for the lower quality pics, didn't realize my flash was on. I tried to zoom in on the 2 plants in the back left an right corners, those 2 are definitely starting to separate themselves from the rest in bud size(kinda hard to tell in the pics). The one on the left tho has a was stronger smell at the moment, both are in the top frostiness at the moment. There's 3 others that are starting to stick out as well. 2 waterings in with full nutes(besides pk13/14 that gets added in next week). I'll try to get some bud shots before the light turns on tomorrow. Considering the light is turned down to 600w they are looking very promising

Beginning of day 25, took the pics just before the light turned on for "morning" of day 25. Getting a little light bleaching going on. Nothing too bad right now, believe the stretch is done . The smell is changing some, wondering if it has to do with the 25% biker kush in the genetics

Sorry for so many updates, but after the 3rd watering with full nutes they are taking the frost to the next level also found a hidden gem. It's sour to the max but not diesel, it's like sour candy, unfortunately that one isnt looking like a keeper. Very tiny buds an no where near as frosty at the moment. But have to wait an see. This here is a good idea of the average right now.

Hi. Could you grow with led? The plants are lower. You could have vegetated with the led to have more space for stretching and then use hps in bloom.
You can use only led with scrog or lst.
But your garden is beautiful!!
