TGA Testers! Tasmanian Skunk and Cherry Cordial OG

Welcome Welcome! Come one come all...

TGA Testers! Subcool is banned. I'm not! I am lucky enough to grow TGA genetics. Let's get started...

Tasmanian Skunk? What is it? Hell, I don't know. Perhaps a distant ISS relative.....

Cherry Cordial OG? That's easy... Hells OG x Space Dude (Male Space Queen) Why is it called Cherry Cordial OG? Space Queen is C99 and Romulan. The most coveted C99 Pheno puts off Cherry taste/aroma/smell/etc. That's what we are trying to isolate here. The following links tell you more..
https://en.**********.eu/strain-info/...s_Association/

https://en.**********.eu/strain-info/..._or_Legendary/

https://www.leafly.com/hybrid/space-queen
"The most sought after of these is a large, resinous, high yielding plant that smells of apples, vanilla and cherries, and has a delicious cherry taste when properly cured."

I'm going to open this journal up with the VEG cycle complete. From there we will follow the flower cycle and I will make frequent posts through harvest and cure.

Let's copy and paste my report to Subcool on the first 40 days from Germination...

Introduction

Thank you for the opportunity to grow TGA Genetics. The following information is from the last 40 days from germination to flipping lights to flower. The final grow journal, video, and photos will get uploaded to social media when the flower cycle is finished.

Equipment

300w equiv. Mars Hydro Clone LED multispectrum with IR. Real power draw ~ 100w. 2 CFL side lighting. 1 fan for circulation. 1 scrubber filter on exhaust with 2 inline 6" fans. Intake is passive with a tent opening opposite the exhaust. AgroMax grow tent. Solo cups and 3 Gallon pots. DynaGro Grow complete liquid nutrient.

Grow Notes

3 Cherry Cordial OG and 4 Tasmanian Skunk seeds were germinated in a shotglass of water. Germination rate was 100%. Sprouted seeds were placed in solo cups with 50/50 peat moss and medium size perlite. All 7 plants came up. Lights are 18/6. As you can see in the photos, one of the Tasmanian Skunk was smaller than the 3. Also, one of the Tasmanian Skunk mutated. Plants were transplanted twice. All 7 plants showed sex at 30 days. The males were discarded. I was left with 1 female Cherry Cordial OG and 2 female Tasmanian Skunk. Clones were taken using rooting gel and rockwool cubes. The Cherry Cordial OG clone showed the most vigor. All 3 are rooted and transplanted into 3 gallons with 50/50 peat moss and medium size perlite. Of the 2 Tasmanian Skunk, there may possibly be 2 different phenotypes. 1 has wider leaf blades than the other. All plants in solo cups were fed 400-500ppm DynaGro Grow. All plants in 3 gallons were fed 600-800ppm DynaGro Grow at ph7. Plants were watered once every 3 to 4 days when pots were dry and light. Runoff test is ph 6 with mininum buildup. Temps inside the house were between 60f and 80f. Temps inside the tent averaged 5 to 10 degreed warmer than house temp. Humidity is 20-30% on average. Light was kept within 3 to 4 inches of the canopy. All 3 females show first 5 and then 7 and now 9 blade leaves. Plants were topped at different times. Slight pruning of bottom foliage when transplanted. More details can be seen in the photographs. No pests. No mold. No mildew. No foliar sprays. No pesticides used. No beneficial organisms/fungi/bacteria added to the media. All 3 are flipped over into 12/12 flower cycle. A final update will follow. Ask any questions.

Time Lapse Videos from my Vimeo account. Very cool stuff here... Check it out! Let me know in a reply what you think.

Now let's post some high res. photos in chronological order from the veg cycle...

Don't ask how I got these seeds! Here they are.. says test right on the package. These are experimental guys and gals. We are phenotype hunting for the best...

The seedling are sitting happily in their solo cups of peat moss and perlite 50/50.

Starting to grow up. They have been feeding regularly. You can see a couple mutations in one of the Tasmanian Skunk... I ended up killing this off as a male later anyway...

As time goes on things are going great...Keep in mind at this stage the 4 cups are the Tasmanian Skunk and the 3 are the Cherry Cordial OG

Time to Transplant from solo cups into 3 gallons full of the same 50/50 peat moss perlite mix. All roots looked great as you can see..

Plants showed sex after 30 days and these are the females.. 2 Tasmanian Skunk and 1 Cherry Cordial OG

Clones were taken and put in rockwool cubes. As you can read above in the report to Sub, the Cherry Cordial OG was most receptive to cloning although all 3 rooted in a week or less.

Okay guys and gals... the plants have been flipped into flower. This is a few days in.. You can see the stretch. The Tasmanian Skunk on the left was topped slightly differently than the Tasmanian Skunk on the right.. The Cherry Cordial OG in the center. Yes.... everything smells really good.

The new clones are under time lapse.. the flower plants will be high res photos from now on. Stay tuned for flower pics as the buds develop and stack. I will appreciate any questions or comments along the way. Let me know what you all think. I put work into this thread!

Sincerely,
Rex

Day 5 in Flower Update. You can see the plants have began alternating nodes which is a sign of maturity. The feed is now bumped up to 1000ppm - 1200ppm. DynaGro Bloom, DynaGro MagPro, PH up, House and Garden Amino Treatment, Roots Organic Trinity Bio Catalyst, Roots Organic HP+.

This is an empty tent picture so you guys can get an idea for the ventilation. Now that plants are loaded, the lights have been adjusted and fans are running inside.

The clones are looking great. This is the Cherry Cordial OG clone. Note 11 blades on the new leaves.

I raised the lights even higher... It's the week 1 stretch...

Here is another shot of the final prune.

10 Days into Flower... Here is an update..

I have been feeding aprox. every 3 days with ~1000ppm at 6.9ph. The runoff PH reads 5.9. I thought I was done pruning the bottoms of the plants but I was wrong. These are new genetics to me so I have been learning as we go. I had to prune again to remove some of the suckers that continued to stretch out. This LED penetrates 6 inches at best into the canopy when it's not too crowded. I have the side lighting setup as you can see.

So this is a picture of my equipment and products that I use to mix my nutrients.

This picture shows good thick woody roots developing around the stem.

This is a shot of the plants with the LED turned off...

Buds are forming nicely...

And some more pictures with the LED on...

As always thanks for viewing and please comment or ask any questions you may have.

For those of you following the journal -

I am seeing a difference in resin production between the two phenos of the Tasmanian Skunk. The pheno with the wider blade leaves is producing resin at twice the rate of the other pheno at this point. This is related to the fact that the phenos are topped differently because the less resinous pheno has 4 tops whereas the resinous pheno has 2 tops.. 2 tops instead of 4 means the plant can focus production on just the 2 tops instead of dividing it up on 4. I could try increasing the feed on the pheno with 4 tops to compensate but I probably will just keep all 3 the same feed.

Anyway.. Both plants reacted positively to the supercrop at the top when I had to tie down the mains. I could have pruned even more suckers off the bottom of the Tasmanian Skunk that is on the right (the thin blade leaved pheno with 4 tops). Here are some update pictures for your pleasure... As always.. Comments Questions please don't hesitate.
