NL5 x Haze Female Selection

We are selecting for a 14 week rocket-fuel type Northern Lights 5 x Haze C, with good yield, aroma and copious resin production

We started with 40 regular seeds from Mr Nice seeds and hope this will be a sufficient pool to find our keeper.

Plant 16: Had an almost 'sage' smell on harvest day (74). Dried to a familiar 5Haze smell after a week drying.

Plant 23 (finished 10 weeks).

Tested pre-cure: Almost immediate (within 1 minute) crystal clear, extreme high, razor sharp. Somewhat grounded and pleasantly relaxed yet alert. Intermittent endorphine rushes and brief exclamations of indiscriminate laughter.

Harvested at 74 days - would have given her longer but a lovely smoke pre-cure. She has the exotic 5Hz aroma I recall from the past. Sweet, fruity, magical.

Nice Journal foetus :-)
How long are you letting these plants cure for before doing your effects based evaluation?
Haze is well known to require a longer cure for the effects to reach their final state. A plant smoke tested at 3 weeks after chop could smoke completely different from the same flowers 2 weeks later.
If this is for a commercial operation, it may be useful to know if the final effects stabilize more quickly though so these notes would still be valuable if they were at 2 or 3 weeks after chop, but giving them extra time and retesting could bring surprising results.
14 and 23 seem to have the lead at this point, eh?
How bout some dried flower pics too?

Hi Raho, thanks for your post
So far the plants have only been tested pre-cure, which is a testament to the genetics as the smoke is already fairly mind-blowing. Most of the girls are still in flush and we're expecting to harvest them at about 14 weeks. The best are certainly yet to come, as these first 5 seemed to be the smallest of the cohort. There are some girls with monster buds still in flower... extremely resinous, aromatic and are finishing with 10k and 4k SolisTek Metal Halide lamps.

You make an excellent point about making notes at different stages of cure - the notes above were made immediately after drying. We now plan to take separate notes for comparison: pre-cure, after 2 weeks, 1 month, then after a couple of months

Will take some bud shots tomorrow and share them here! After about 14 hours of plant work today, must relax with a cup of tea and some 45-90 micron NL5xHaze hashish

Do you have any experience with this strain/haze hybrids?
