Check AvailabilityThe Alaskan Ice is one of the strongest cannabis plants ever bred. It is a cross of original Green House White Widow and Pure Haze. This variation represents a very famous strain, with a new kick. The plants have a structure that is slightly stretchier than the White Widow, with a typical pine-tree shape. The internode is quite stable and averages 12-15 centimeters. The strain has all the well known characteristics of the White Widow, with a much higher THC content and a very sativa-like effect, energizing and very trippy. CBD level is also very high at over 1%, giving it a complete physical effect that follows the first burst of high. Flowering time on this strain is 9 weeks, just one week longer than the original White Widow. The Alaskan Ice is suitable for indoor, outdoor and greenhouse. The plant is quite resistant to botrytis and to pests. In indoor hydro systems the production can reach 700-800 grams per square meter. Outdoor expect production up to 800 grams per plant with fully developed specimens (up to 2,5 meters high and very branchy). The Alaskan Ice can be fed quite a bit, with an EC level up to 2.2 in hydro systems (regular flush required). The taste of the Alaskan Ice is spicy and hazy, with a very well balanced bouquet in between the White Widow and the Haze flavors.

is this strain not stable? I have read a lot of bad comments about it..
I still have 2 more seeds but to be honest I don't like the pop corn buds.. Im growing in the same tent 4 super lemon haze and not a problem at all with those an 3 strawberry cough.. also with no problems with these 2 strains.. just with the alaskan..
its a shame, because the smell now is amazing at the 5th flowering week | | Comment Posted by: The Evil Weed on 09-14-2010 at 22:38 | | This was my first grow. I did 2 plants out of a five pack. One of the two where more indica looking, with a little bit fatter leaves, the other one was the more Sativa looking one.
It was actually the more vigorous of the two. However - at the end of veg, the other one not only caught up - it out grew the more indica looking one, and because I was going back to my parents over the summer, and didn't have enough room to keep both of the plants hidden I gave away the more indica looking one to a friend.
Biiig mistake my friends! Almost everyone who's grown the Alaskan Ice before can probably guess what the more sativa looking pheno was. Yep - the extreme equatorial landrace sativa pheno. I have heard of guys letting this pheno go for 16 weeks with the damn plant still not filling in. I cut mine at 9 weeks as ordered - I was a newbie and didn't have a microscope, so I just "did what the doctor ordered". The good news is - that even if that pheno has very sparse buddevelopment - to the point where you sometimes wonder if it is done by then, it is contrary to popular belief certainly ready at nine weeks, and is not at all lacking in potency.
| | Comment Posted by: igorski on 05-10-2010 at 23:34 | | Plant is in 8th week flowering now, many many buds, huge plant over 2m. Minimum 3 more weeks till finish. It smells like diesel oil when you rub the bud. | | Comment Posted by: igorski on 05-04-2010 at 15:28 | | Also, one more thing. I would not take any comments here as serious unless their plant was seeded into large pots with all preparations as stated in GHS videos. I fully follow GHS instructions, total copy of their work and I see only good thingshappen herewith no defficiencies at all. The only thing i couldnt copy was the size of the pot because of my grow box size. I usesmaller ones but still pretty big for indoor,30 liter pots, and withsuch size you have prevented half of the root problems you might encounter and the plant is as I wrote earlier, 2 meters high at the moment, with internodesspace of 15 cm maxjust like stated on Francos details;)))... VIVA LA ALASKA !!! | | Comment Posted by: igorski on 05-04-2010 at 15:16 | | I love my Alaska Ice that Ipurchased seed from GHS. The plant grew immediatelly awesome from early stages. I vegged her for 4 weeks. Now the plant is in 7th week of flowering, 2 meters high!!!! Strong, healthy, sativa looking. Flowers are still small, but more than 30 buds places all over the plant and they are all same size. The cola bud is the same size as the very bottom bud on the plant!! I never seen that before. It is gonna take more than 10-11 weeks to finish deffinetely, looking at the size of the buds at this stage.
I also cloned it very successfully.
If the high is going to be as described, devastator, I will only grow HG's and AI's in future because I am a heavy stone lover and yield lover lol. Maybe some people are not happy with Alaska how she develops and her speed of flowering, but she deffinetelly needs SATIVA TIME to finish... Maybe I kept mine too long in vegetation, but I think it is going to be worth it at the end. I cannot describe the beauty of this plant. Check my pics under albums. For example, HG already had flowers size of a strawberry and Alaska didnt even show any hairs yet at the time! So, be patient only.......
Franco, do you need a gardener for minimum sallary? ;)) I am in!!! | | Comment Posted by: Rusty Shaklford on 02-24-2010 at 07:12 | | Update: tried to start 2 more Fem seeds from original batch. Both were junk right from the start.Plants grew twisted, deformed leaves and as wopuVR say's just beat up looking. I ended up pulling them at 18". I guess it is hit or miss with this strain as my first plant was just wonderful. I'll try again with a new batch and try and get one of the better pheno's and clone her.
| | Comment Posted by: wopuVR on 02-10-2010 at 00:19 | | grew 2 phenos of this, i think its really about finding that perfect one:
one was somewhat of a mutant, starts to look beat up after maturity in veg. But she smelled amazing throughout entire flower, even before any calyx clusters started forming. Very sweet and fruity, but also the same soothing mellowness as vanilla, that sorta creamy flavor you get from a cream saver vs a life saver. Had to take her early because she started to show hermies at very end of week 8. It seemed like she had another 2-3 weeks left to go.
the other was just amazing. Vigor throughout all stages, germ overnight, sprout in 2 days, clones had roots out side of pellets in 5 days. Great branching for LST, tie a main branch down, the side ones shoot up to same size in like 2-3 days, was able to get many tops in a short time before putting into flower. Intense trichomes production from very early on in development, since the first calyxes and pistils showed up. By the time she was done at exactly 9 weeks, she was completely covered in trichs, shes really trying to live up to the ice part in her name. The calyxes were really fat and I almost thought she had been impregnated, but nope, no seeds, just fat fat calyxes. There were even little mini calyx towers shooting off the tops of the biggest colas. The taste of the smoke is amazing, very pungent and fills the room and your nostril, but its very smooth and sweet, like watermelon scented febreeze or something, just amazing. The high is perfect, heady and creative, but enough warm fuzzy body buzz that it makes everything fun. Great for writing music.
Check out the albums.

Flowering is coming up everywhere. I am hoping they will fill in when they are finished. Check my Journal for the AK Ice grow with pictures and updates.
