Chicago Bagseed Grow Notes

This is my entry into the newbie summer bud contest.

This plant is from a collection of seeds from some bag weed I get from a specific person. Whoever grows it does not take quality into much consideration. With Some TLC this stuff really ends well with great full taste that is rich and long lasting. The smoke has agood all around buzz, very pleasant. I started with a handful of these seeds about a year ago, Spring 3013.

I ran 4 separate runs. The first was just an experiment, then I was hooked. I beganselecting the best of 3 or 4 plants to grow on a small scale in my closet. It truly was that moment where I wanted to stop buying poor quality bud and grow a bit of my own the right way for as close to free as it gets. I am very much a beginner still but I am learning a ton. I use 125w of CFL in a closet with a fan. It is truly bare basic stuff. Good dirt and tap water. I have had a lot of fun in my journey of growingthis wonderful plant. You really learn a lot in the process. I have had my stumble and made plenty mistakes but I have also had 2 successful harvests. One wasa small plant that I literally got 3 grams off of. Then I did a run where I ended with 15 grams.

COMPLETED CURRENT GROW

Got just over an ounce (estimate). Really was the smoke I was looking for in this batch of seeds. Great flavor, and a high I can enjoy all day.

I was glad to see this report, because I started out with bag seed too. I also used CFL's and had great results!

correction: I did grow out one that ended up being a male, but 3 out of 4 were female

Every seed I popped from that batch of seeds was a female so I am assuming you are 100% right. Either that or something someone was working on locally. From the way the bag looked, it didn't seem like it went through much shipping. It was the bag appeal that really sold me on it (aside from flavor and being right up my alley for what I want in my smoke) and stihgnobevoli, it was definitely fire. Thanks for the comments you guys!

I am putting together a shopping list for what I want to do this winter. I want to try BOG's sour bubble, some Kabookie gear because you can't beat the price, and some bagseed I have that I am looking forward to trying. I love the winter growing here because ambient temps are down and the RH drop's under 20%. I am excited for December to roll around. Merry Xmas lol.

A lot of herb making it to Chicago is grown in the Rockies and from time to time you get herm pollen on another fem resulting in a new strain no one else may have. Even Mexican genes aren't so bad. Currenting testing:Cantaloupe Haze, which is... Mexican landrace "Michocan" X Haze Bros Nice looking flowers .... Any males or just all fem'd like I suspect?

nice grow report, i used to be in the midwest. chicago sees weed from around the globe, mostly from mehico. if i find seeds it's mostly gonna be from mexicans. but once in a while you get something local that got seeded up and was killer. those guys to the east of you got that fire.
