Intro
Grow report based on a single 5pk of GHS Trainwreck (fem), purchased from Seed Boutique around May 2008.
8 years growing experience in soil @ the time of this grow.
Germination (4 out of 5)
Seeds were placed in a moist paper towel inside a small plastic sandwich bag to prevent drying out (no pre-soaking). A heating pad was also used to achieve optimum temperature for germination (75-80F). 4/5 seeds cracked within 18hrs with visible tap roots showing after 30 hrs. Once tap roots were visible, the seeds were planted into party cups of seed starter mix. All seeds surfaced within 4 days of planting.
Veg
Veg Cycle: 24/0
Lighting: 4ft 40w T12 Florescent shop lights x 4 for a total of 320w (6500k bulbs)
Temp: 76-78F
The 4 seedlings were vegged for a short time in the party cups (under the above mentioned lighting) until they had filled the cups nicely with roots. They were then transplanted up to a 1 gal containers. At this time I introduced them to their first does of nutrients. I alternated with plain ph'ed water and Grow Big/Big Bloom throughout the rest of the veg cycle. Once they reached approximately 12 inches, they went to 5 gal buckets and directly to flower.
All plants were quite uniform and showed nice vigor in veg. Good side branching and responded well to topping/FIM. Hastle free.

Flower
Cycle: 12/12
Lighting: 400W Sunmaster Super Deluxe HPS (Digital ballast with HTG Supply four sided horizontal reflector)
Temps: (Lights on 78-82F) (Lights off 62-65)
All four plants received veg nutes for the first two weeks of flower in order to minimize stretching. I found them to have a managable stretch of 2-2.5x by the end of week 4 of 12/12.
Flowering is really were the phenotypical variation comes out with this variety (at least that is my experience). There were 3 phenos out of 4 plants.
Here I will describe the 3 phenos:
Trainwreck #1
This was the best of the group imho. All buds including the lower nugs were rock hard. She was a medium yielder and quite easy to grow. Smelled alot like rotten meat and lemon juice in flower. The buzz from this girl was a balanced indica/sativa style high that had good lasting power. The best way I can describe the taste and smell of the finished product is a bit skunky, a bit sweet, with a touch of citrus.
Trainwreck #2
This one was a bit on the leafy side but probably had the highest resin content of the group at the same time. She was a low-medium yeilder and smelled like feces in flower. The high from this one was more of a stone you to the bone indica style high. She smelled like a dryed up dookie in flower. Thankfully, the smell in flower didn't translate to the finished buds. The taste and smell of the finished buds were of skunky cookie dough.

Trainwreck #3
While this one was the most colorful of the bunch, she was middle of the road in terms of smoke. Medium yield and had a musky rotten fruit smell in flower. Dried buds smelled like black coffee and tasted somewhat earthy and woody.

Trainwreck #4
This girl was turned out to be a nice plant but unfortunately I didn't take very many pics of her because she was tied down in the back of the garden. She was up there with number 1 and 2 in terms of potency and smell but she just didn't have the nice flavor that those had. The buds from this girl produced a nice balanced indica/sativa high that lasted for a couple hours. The dried buds smelled like skunky fermented lemons and had a bitter but pleasant nutty flavor.

Finished Product

Final Thoughts
Controversy aside, GHS Trainwreck was a solid grow and worth the small price tag IMO, TW or not. It's not the holy grail, but def solid smoke.
