| ak48 Grow Notes |
|
This grow was slightly troublesome.
I FIMed it thrice, defoliated thrice, had a SCROG too.
I constantly messed up my nute/ph levels (first time grower, going hydroponic)
I started flushing too early too. When doing this, the light was too close and burned the top of one of the buds. Four new budsites grew on the burned top.
For all this abuse, I shouldnt complain for what I got!
And yeah, it took 13 weeks even if nirvana says 7-9

Wanna keep mom forever ) | | Comment Posted by: nickman on 07-09-2011 at 02:35 | | i must of had the spear shaped budsicle pheno...I only vegged itfor 1 week for certain reason's but i chopped her down at 10 weeks and some change...most likely could have went longer too...
The buds came out very fluffy and airy...Also not that good of a buzz...Kinda boring...
I just hope that i find a better pheno during my hunt... | | Comment Posted by: imnotkrazy on 07-01-2011 at 06:42 | | Last year, I puta topped plantabouta foottall(had been on 12/12 for 2 weeks indoor)into the ground mid-August. Ended up about3 1/2feet tall yielding 120g of grapey goodness plus lots ofpopcorn at theend of September. Very up do something effectfor me, but others said it put them down. Super easy to grow. | | Comment Posted by: OGmolton on 06-29-2011 at 00:25 | | I saw a friends AK48's finish in 8-9 weeks, they vegged for about 7 weeks (one at 8 because of a late pollen sack, probably due to the trauma of a fan falling on it a couple weeks into flower) None of his colas got that big though!!
| | Comment Posted by: sm0k4 on 05-11-2011 at 15:44 | | Yeah, I'm seeing why Nirvana is on the cheap side of beans. Definitely a slower flowerer than they advertise. My Blackberry pheno right now is more mature looking than the AK48 and the AK48 is supposed to be the faster finisher by 2 weeks.
Maybe the other beans will give me a better pheno.
Nirvana's Blackberry looks pretty good so far though, about 1 month to go yet.

Can't wait to do a room full of clones. I agree, 12-13 weeks is probably about right for it, I had a couple different phenos, it looks like you got the more sativa leaning budsicle there. I got that, and got one that had very dense, monkey paw type buds as well, that's the one I kept. It finished faster, but still a 11-12 weeker IMO. Also had a much better bouquet, flavor, and effect. I thought the spear one was kind of blah and boring high. My other one that made the golf ballish nugs was much better and I am glad I got it and was able to reveg it for future runs. I thought the large cola one was a little airy as well. Still good weed for sure, and normal people think it's killer lol, the other pheno had people stumbling around and I took it down early, week 10. | | Comment Posted by: skunkfunk on 04-27-2011 at 15:56 | | | Wow is all I can say after your reported abuse while growing this. Sure did well and for a 400watt grow. End result sounds great. Cheers. |
