This was run from a 10 pack of Reservoir Seeds... Super Silver Haze (f) x Chemdog (m).Overall, 9 germinated great... with the last mutated & culled. Of the 9 remaining, got 6 females... and the one pictured is 'the winner'.
Regarding the hermi concerns... this one was run in a test crop with a number of different plants/strains. She did not represent the hermies, even through the latter flush stages, though some other plants/species did. However, in a subsequent run, likely excessive heat caused this trait to show. I am on a third run dedicated just to this plant, in order to dial it in... the hermi expression should be mitigated.
You can see from the pics, she didn't show at all. I would qualify her as semi-touchy, though not nearly as bad as others. Just need to dial-in to her preferences.
The plant grew longer than expected... both in time & stretch. She should likely go 84 days, depending. Although intended to test as a single cola grow... she went tall & wanted to put on the side branches. Those branches, btw, could not support the weight~ help is a must.
The cola put on very much like the SSH from Mr. Nice. However, the calyxes filled out better (swelled) & the entire cola put on depth & girth... including the lower nugs/side branches. The cola formed the traditional spear shape. Because of this, she is a decent yielder... thinking 1.5lb plus... I'm trying the next run to break this mark and come closer to 2.0.
When dried fully & cured... man oh man... as soon as you open the jar, it fills the room. It holds a slightly sweet aroma though this super-tart, kinda pungent bite overcomes one's nose... then that is basically all you can smell. Very strong bite to the aroma... perhaps sour... even pissy. Important to note that a jar had a few % points too much MC... that jar lost it's strong bite... that sucked.
The taste... translates just like the odor. You definitely get more of the SSH in taste... the haze is there no doubt. The only difference is you get that tarty bite, which sticks for a little! Love this as a nice twist on the haze.
The Chemdog doesn't really come out at all... distinct unto itself that is. You will need to go with his IBL for that... the IX3 produced a very nice specimen as well (might do that one next). The CD just makes this a twisted & contorted freak of a SSH... really nice!
Also, the high is very heady & clear at first... then slightly dazy... and lasts a while. I get a slight sharpening in visual acuity, which is a trip with lights, though the eyes do feel heavy. No couch lock as I tend to get a little buzzy at first. Very clear, even up.
This cut (+ her sister, the Sweet cut) was also written-up by Kind Reviews (June '10) as they sampled my meds from one of the dispensaries. You can also view Full Spectrum Lab's analysis which is attached.
Looking forward to adding to the list. Thank you Rez! ;-)
Thank you for all the positive comments & feedback... fixed a few items.
