NHS-National Health Service (NL5/Haze x Skunk)
I found growing these new but old crosses out to be an absolute joy....
In the 10 that I ran I found an even split of males to females with both sexes showing some excellent characteristics. If I were looking for a breeding tool I would defintely recommend these as not only did I find healthy specimens of both sexes, but a good array of qualities in terms of overall stature, yield durability/hardiness, flower time and all aspects of the finished, smokable article...
I found 5 different plants in my 5 females, with finish times ranging from 12 to 17 weeks and everything inbetween. Some plants showed some excellent old school skunk expressions both in stink and yield and in others I found some really nice long finishing sativa attributes....
Here's some quick notes I made during harvest time...
Pheno 1 - "Skunk" pheno 12 weeks (old school, 28g).
Pheno 2 - "Lemon" pheno - 13 weeks (happy buzz, 38g).
Pheno 3 - "Dick" pheno - 14 weeks (high bud to leaf ratio, 72g).
Pheno 4 - "Haze1" pheno - 14 weeks 5 days (up head and body high, 47g).
Pheno 5 - " BEAST" pheno (haze2) - 17weeks 1 day (Meat smell - like pheno1, 104g).
....EXTRA NOTE:
These were grown during summertime when I had chronic heat and bug issues, the plants you see here are testiment to their quality for still managing to produce top end results.

| Comment Posted by: igorskee on 02-16-2012 at 18:02 | | This is one of my biggest dissapointments in my 10 year long growing. The high was very very mild, and the bud structure, soso, nothing special. Will not grow again. | | Comment Posted by: Professor77 on 07-06-2011 at 07:22 | | I'll have a hard time posting a grow report hereif I need to credit every person who ever had at sometime impacted a plant especially since they've been around for 1000s of years. | | Comment Posted by: ocean_grown on 06-21-2010 at 09:09 | | lol WOW Sam the Skunkman is a troll
| | Comment Posted by: InsanityRules on 06-20-2010 at 05:04 | | | what a fucking arrogant prick! | | Comment Posted by: gates3rd on 05-23-2010 at 22:47 | | | my wish for xmas , pheno 3 !!! | | Comment Posted by: JamieShoes on 05-17-2010 at 09:28 | | | Quite right too Sam and in my original submission to this report I included full credit to you as the initial supplier of the Sk1 back in 88 (as is my understanding :))
Unfortunately I couldnt figure out paragraphing (as you can see, lol) and so I had to crop much of the "extra" info ...
In any event I am more than happy to recognise your contribution to our cause and was sad to have missed you over the recent 420 weekend... it would've given me some satisfaction to have been able to say "thanks for all the good times" in person :)
cheers

I am not knocking their results, but I am trying to remind that their hybrid work is on the shoulders of other giants in the field. NL5 was also the original work done by others in the Pacific Northwest.
Maybe some folks think I am splitting hairs, but when I look at this plant I know what makes it special, and it is Original Haze & Skunk #1
Anyway, beautiful plants.... Wish I could smell them...
