Moon Shadow Grow Notes
[Chemo/WhiteRhino]xC99 by Joey Weed

I started 4 seeds straight on 12/12 in 6' rockwool cubes and identified one female. I topped that female at the second to bottom node, transplanted into 3 gal coco, and put it on 24/0 for two weeks. Nodes exploded out in a symmetrical fashion and the plant turned into a mini-mega bush. The plant went back into flower at about 5 weeks old.

With the funny schedule, the plant stretched about 3X. I found it to be an easy, pest resistant grower. The plant flowered for 9.5 weeks; longer than the advertised 8 weeks. Yield was as just about as good as it gets, at nearly 5 oz dried and cured.

Quality of smoking experience is mediocre, with not much taste even after a good cure. But the quality of high is up there; heady and functional, yet still shifts your paradigm in a big way. I dont love smoking this strain, but I do love floating around under its influence.

I also want to mention how well the buds prepare for a smoke; all these orderly stacked fat calyxes break up very nicely for a bowl or joint and have a perfect texture.

Nice review, man. It's nice to see one of JW's lesser-popular strains being grown. I've grown JW's White Russian (two grow reports are there in the list) and had good experience with that as well. Very hardy, low maintenance plant. The yield was also good on both grows but as you said with Moon Shadow - the smoke quality is a little poor. Not much taste but you get a nice couchlock stone. Take care, and keep growin'!
