itsso easy to grow.. always produces so well... and with the highest level of reliability found in almost any strain on sale..all of serious's strains are top for reliably producing, and performing, well..
if you want something that will produce loads of medium-high strength bud, with a good taste andstone,then AK47 is a sensible choice, imo..... |

Nice review! I just finished a run of AK47 (Joey's Weed, although supposedly from Serious's Stock). I got 2 distinct phenos that I'm keeping as moms.
I have one that stays VERY short and is very dark in color. Most of the branching is purple. The buds form huge cone shaped colas that are a little bit leafy compared to the below pheno and a bit fluffy too. The sugar on this pheno is less than the below pheno as well. A bit skunky and fruity in smell. The yield on this pheno was about 8% less than the below pheno. From looking at other pics of AK growers, I'm thinking this one is leaning more Indica and looks like the stock photos you'd see from seed banks. Manicured buds are large and green.
My second pheno (what I'm guessing is the Sativa pheno) grows taller and exhibits less branching than the above pheno. The bud structure reminds me of Blueberry in that it forms many bud clusters on each branch (like grapes) rather than large colas. The buds are VERY tight/dense compared to the above pheno. The buds also have lots of bright orange hairs, looks amazing. It also has more sugar and yielded a bit more weight than the above. When left in flower for over 65 days, the plant turns almost to a golden color. The manicured buds look like they are glowing in the bag... odd! The aroma is light, somewhat fruity with a chemical cherry note to it.... I don't think I have the "cherry" pheno however maybe there's a little in it ~ ???
I yielded both phenos over a 10 day span (chopped @ day 70-80). Yield was pretty good @ 3 elbows from 3x600. I have done a little smoking of each although I'm waiting for a good cure before going at it hard. My impression thus far is that I get a very heady high... very cerebral and not what I expected. It's pretty immediate and gives me an initial 10 minute head rush/euphoria feeling that subsides. I wanted a good strong couch lock high. I was also expecting a stronger high as well, after reading about this "one-hit wonder." I'll see if the cure does anything in this dept.
LOST IN A SEA, You mention White Russian as being better. In what aspects? How is the yield/high/flower time compared to AK47? I ask because I have some WR beans laying around and was tempted to start them. I also have some Blue Apollo but this strain hasn't had much positive chatter on the forums. I'm either going to start the WR or perhaps grab me some C99 beans as the flowering time of this strain seems to be super short and to my liking.
I kept both of my AK phenos as Moms, however might ditch the 'Indica' pheno to make more space for different strains.

She is small, only about 3feet but looks fabulous. Her smell is rather dank and musky-not very pleasant and not as strong as is written in catalogues ect. (22 days to go). The othe pheno has more sativa type leaves and buds (spindly but compact bud formation-prabably more than 22days to go and hopefully will fill out alot. This plant is even shorter, about 75cm, and has a lovely tangy fruity smell which has grown less friuty and more danker as it matures. She has more crystals on the leaves than her indica leaning sister, I think it they will both be fantastic smokes, I can't wait till they're done and cured, about 50 days to go....oh and BTW I've made 20 clones from these 2 moms, they're comin' along very nicely, about a week more of veg and its off to the bloomroom. i would say White russian is much better, and it has AK in so you would get a feel for the AK side....AK is good though...
