| SSH Super Silver Haze (Breeder Fem 5 pack) Grow Notes |
Grew this strain from a Breeder's Pack 5 Fem Beans. Beans were tiny and dark. This strain would not bloom, no matter what light schedule I used. I planted it on Feb. 14, Finally killed it and threw it on a bonfire Aug 28. 12/12 would not bloom, 10 hours of light no bloom, etc. Tried a variety of methods without success.
I have smoked this strain when grown by others and find it to be quite tasty, but would not recommend it to others. The buzz is weak, the trichomes are small and sparse.
EDIT: OK, Here's what happened, I popped 2 !!! Both grew up, showed sex in veg, I wanted a big crop vegged em till they got 5 feet tall. The one plant pictured got broken early on, and that accounts for the 2 big branches on this one. Usually look more Xmas tree shape. Both plants were lame, lame lame, wouldn't do a thang. I messed with double, then triple, then quadruple dose of ferts, I increased dark periods, I did everything you could. I also grew big giant fat buds of other strains right next to these SSH plants, so it ain't me.... gotta be the beans.... sorry GH |

ive grown ssh from gh fem seeds 3 times and the first time i planted 2 seeds in soil and 1 was what i wanted the pungent lemony herbal taste and smell typical of ssh.the other pheno was much more sitiva and smelled allmost like linseed oil NOT NICE and would have flowered forever so got turned to hash.the nice 1 gave me 16 ounce dry and cured.second time i grew it i got same nice pheno and thats my mother now.grew it out again and into 4th ssh grow amongst other strains wich i bred myself as the ssh is the only strain i grow from a seed company.been growing 20 years and breeding 18.cheers for listening.brownbear

update, i have harvested my ghs ssh , i have 2 phenos both unique. the seed mothers were difficult but the clones are doing great. they did take about 3 weeks before beginning to bud but then they really took off and stretched.. the 1st one has a super high and spicy peppery taste. the second is a bit stretchier and has a lime flavour. so far i am keeping both phenos yeild well over 1oz per plant indoor in soilunder 2 400w cmh. also growing ghs strawberry haze, which is great, and ghs trainwreck also fabulous, nevilles haze...amazing..i would recommend ghs to anyone ..very happy with seeds ; ) |

i'm growing ghs ssh right now...i have the feminised sativa 10 pack. i popped both ssh and strawberry haze @ the same time. i don't like the color-coded seeds; it seemed to mess them up. took forever to germinate, about a week or so. i'm flowering them under 63w led panels. theyve been in there a month and they are just barely showing pistils. strawberry is going quite a bit faster than the ssh. i was worried about the slow rate of growth. i am a new grower, but my boyfriend is pretty much an expert. he says this is adifficult plant to grow, more for the experienced grower andthat haze's take forever to finish butif grown right the final product is out of this world. i am growing it for its medicinal qualities and personal use , takes too long to grow out big yieldsbut the plants look great so far...just take alot of maintenance and time... |

| Cause the people at Greenhouse kept saying "Try this bloom schedule, try that."
So I kept tinkering with lighting, nutes, etc.
I never knew pot would grow and not bud at all. |

Shanti has the real deal, as he holds the parental lines!!!
Plus, he is a REAL breeder!!!! |

| Chemo X... This is a grow report on my experience with Greenhouse SSH... not Mr. Nice's version. I haven't grown that one yet.
I can only report on what I have grown.
Growing Greenhouse's SSH sucked. I reported it.
I smoked GH SSH and thought the buzz was WEAK!
I call it as I see it. Not trying to change anybody's mind, I am just reporting what happened to me when I GREW it. that's what a grow report is for. |

| You do not need multiple days of darkness. i have flowered and still have SSH fro GHS and i take a little bit to flower like all HAZE. But after three weeks on 12/12 she shows hairs and begins. i have Super lemon haze, strawberry haze, kings kush aka old school jams, and super silver haze plus trainwreck, cheese, church and hawaiian snow never a hermie or problem gota let your plants from seed grow 3-4 months before flowering because it needs to mature in veg... just my 2pennies.

| OMG, I was getting ready to do the nasty and order the legendary Super Silver Haze and give it a whirl. I grew out Blue Hen years ago (Blueberry by SSH) and it was an amazing plant, but never got back to the root genetics. Now I have to pause and reassess the situation again and head in a new direction. I've heard some carping about GH strains before, but only background chatter. Sounds like they need to work on their quality control program some and then put out some new beans based on what their quality control tests show.
Hearing a construction criticism from Lola on a strain is something I pay attention to as her grow documentation demonstrates the master gardener's hand is indeed present.
Here's hoping some good kharma jumps into your garden and rewards you for waiting that long. |

Werd If you watch the grow video on it he says he had to give it something like 4 days total darkness to get it to start to flower hahaha... |

| I popped 2 beans, both beans did not bloom. They showed sex, and had a few wispy pistils.
I am sure the other 3 beans I still have will be exactly the same. Duds! |

Despite their new colored seeds process why fk with mother nature breeders and growers for centuries never needed a colored seed so why start now, it only throws the cost of the seeds up to us to pay for an elaborate machine.
As for the SSH 5 pack gives us a report on the other 4 seeds, how many out of the 4 were females hence female 5 packbut if this plantnever flowered what's to say the other 4 are not duds or all females??

| My GHS SSH is blooming, but after 7+ weeks under the HPS you have to seriously work to find trichomes. They are not apparent whatsoever, I found my first bunch of them under some leaves this morning. The smell is light but pleasant, but the plant does not look like it'll produce even average quality buds. I don't even know what to do with it; I can't kill it, probably won't want to smoke it, can't use it for hash since it has almost 0 trich coverage, and probably shouldn't bother using it for cooking for the same reason.
I'd give it away, but it'd just be kinda embarrassing.
Maybe I'll just mulch it for compost. |
