| AK48 Grow Notes |
The plants grew very fast, with dark green leaves and a more Indica
shape. This strain produces much resin, trim leaves are very resinous,
so it’s a very good bubblehash producer. The yield is also very good,
and manicuring takes little time. I mixed cow and chicken manure, with
worm castings to the soil, and never fed again, plants were very
healthy during all their lives. I grew outdoors with full sunlight.
plants where small because of my latitude (23 degrees south), so they
grew for like 25 days and flowered. I only grew 2 plants of this
strain, one had a small pot and became 1/4 of the size of the other
plant. I observed 2 different phenos, and called them Silver (small
plant) and Pine (big plant)
Pine pheno: Wide leaves, dark green,
heavy yielder. At harvest the smell was piney (never heard of pine
smell in AK, but mine had). After a week curing the smell is becoming
more like citrus. The taste is pretty much the same as the smell. It’s
not that 1 hit wonder, but it’s potent. No couch-lock effects (or very
little), Makes you think in lots of stuff, but allows to concentrate
when needed. the main effect lasts like 1 - 1,5 hour, then it lows and
the body effects become more evident, you can even sleep if you don’t
keep moving.
Silver pheno: The plant was very small due to pot
size, had more sativa-like leaves, lighter green, lower yield. the
smell is fruitier on this one. the buds had a more silver appearance
because of the resin, even when dry this pheno looks more crystal. the
high is also more heady and active. I would keep this pheno.
The
AK-48 is a very beautiful plant, that grows fast and easily, and has
lots of resin. I expected a little more on the high of this plant, but
I still recommend it to everyone. It was a pleasure to grow, and I'll
surely do it again. |

At the first of the yr tried the original ak47 from serious seeds. If you can afford it go for the original..you won't be disappointed. | | Comment Posted by: Herbalistic on 05-28-2009 at 16:44 | | | Gotta agree itīs easy to grow strain, got some Ak48 bushes in 10 L bubblers @ moment and will wait the end result!
Normally im into satīs, but I wanted to gain some "dro" experience, which this strain has gave lotīs for me  | | Comment Posted by: ext on 05-17-2009 at 20:24 | | It's a robust strain. It grows like mad.
