Safari Mix Grow Notes
I haven't seen a Safari Mix report so I hope you will accept this from a new grower.

This Safari Mix is a cross of Mandala strains White Satin and Kalichakra. I grew them simply in large pots with basic fertiliser and as Mandala suggest I did not feed them at all. I used 300w CFL's in veg stage for 5 weeks and added a 70watt HPS during flowering along with a red 10w LED to top up 160w of CFL's. I figured it's all good so why not use what was cheap and available, I realise I really need more wattage.

With this set up there was no cooling issues even in a small loft grow.

10 seeds 100% germination but two were poor phenotypes and of the others

5 were female.

There was very little odour while growing which was good in my situation.

The seeds were really cheap and obviously not for expert growers but for a noob like me the differences in the plants made it a very interesting first grow.

Make no mistake they may not be premium quality but they pack a kick. Recommended for similar new peeps with modest funds available.

Note this is a random mix of plants so strain rating has to be lowest, don't let this put you off.

Update.

After a few more other grows I just wanted to recommend these to new growers.
The main thing is they are cheap, you get a few different phenos and this all adds to the experience before you try some serious growing.
Mandala seeds are very good germinating and if you just use decent soil, have enough lights and don't over water you can't really go wrong.

I am growing a couple right now and they are now into thier third week of veg. Both are grwoing fast and one has solid purple underneath the leaves. I wonder where this trait comes from. Its def not temp issues.

haven't grown the mix yet only 8 mile high and mandala #1, but mandala is the s*%#. Their info is dead on, etc. I wish other breeders would put into their genetics and customer service what Mandala does.

good report. I agree. I ran a freebee pack of the same mix. Got 2 strong females from 5 seeds. the third female was cut in early veg. The smoke was not good enough to run again. Binned all cuts off them. Smell was great, taste was not. Looked great, smoke was not. Growth was great, yield was too. Just not keepers there. But fun to run just to see. When you run Mandala you get a spread of 8/9 to 2/3 rated to me. You might get that ONE killer, you might not. Good to see ppl agree.

I grow safari seeds regularly and have experienced many different phenos from them. Right now I have a plant from safari I call Cleopatra after the plant owned by Morticia Addams...looks the same!! Big fat fluffy and loose buds hanging from a dozen arms skewed wildly...crazy plant. I also just harvested a magnificent 24" long top bud from a safari seed...looks like any other donkey dick type bud..wonderful smell.

The safari generally has about a 25% success rate...meaning a female thatturns into a viable plant..but at the cost( 20 seeds for 20 Euros) it is a good type for beginners as well as those who dont mind gambling a bit....could find a real winnder!!
