This is my second time growing a White Russian (you can see my other report in the list somewhere) from Joey Weed and again I'm very, very impressed. His genetics are top notch, despite his prices being so low. I thought I got lucky on my last grow, which yielded 3.1oz while doing LST. That was with minimal feeding. This time around I used a drip system and the plant got full strength feeding every day. It can take it and much more. This plant does not take no for an answer. I vegged for about 2 months and topped the plant after the 4th internode. I didn't think it would grow so quickly and so vigorously. I was actually amazed at the bud weight that packed onto these two new colas (see the pics). I can only imagine how huge 1 main cola would be!
Anyway as far as feeding goes, it was pretty simple. I only used the Flora Nova series using the directions on the bottles. No other additives were used at all except for molasses during the last 3 weeks of flowering. One thing to note that I didn't notice last grow. She packs on some serious weight as soon as she notices you cut off the nutrients. I stopped feeding 3 weeks before the chop and in two days I was seeing some serious pistil action forming, and the buds tightened and beefed up instantly. So make sure you wait for her to do this before you chop, otherwise your yields will likely be affected.
This plant is hardy as hell, too. LST and topping have both proved to be no problem at all for her, and she can take huge doses of nutrients as well. I think my pH sat around 5.6-5.8 (I'm using coco here too) and she seemed to soak up every last drop of food.
Veg time: 2 months
Pre-flower (aka 12/12 switch aka transition period): 1.5 weeks
Flowering: 9 weeks
Well worth the wait! I can't recommend this strain enough. Definitely a good producer. Remember that this was done with a 400w - if you had a 1000 watter, flowering additives, and if grown properly I could see this strain yielding 1/2lb easily.
