Swiss Cheese: I bought 10 Swiss Cheese (SC)and 10 Aurora Indica (AI)seeds directly from Nirvana, this year. I have never purchased seeds before, but I know getting good genetics is the reason to buy them. Unfortunately, I feel the money was wasted. Overall, my local landrace commercial bag seedshave ahigher quality than Nirvana's.
Of the 20 seeds I bought, only 8 germinated, and only 3 of those turned out to be female! I gotone AI and two SC. The AI appears to have some quality genes, but the SC is a joke. One of the SC's has such a high Leaf to Budratio, and those buds are solight and fluffy, that it ain't worth the effort to maicure it.The entire plant is going to be used for edibles. The other SC has textbook perfect looking huge colas, albeit it's still a little on the airy side still. But neither Swiss Cheese has any trichomes on them, they are not sticky, andthey do not smell at all!
I remember reading that one of the parents to SC was Swiss Miss, which Nirvana quit selling, perhaps becuase it had some verypoor traits that continued show up in every generation. I don't know why, I just know that its unstable genes aren't worth the money, effort, and risk. SC was a 100% waste of time. The AI shows some excellent phenotypes and promises to be a good smoke, its still not a good investment considering I only got 10% female.
