ReikoX's got the Strawberry Blues
After a long affair with Juanita, I think it's time for a break. Like breaking up with most girls, now I got the Strawberry Blues.
These girls were clones I got on a trip to Denver. We got Strawberry Blue, Agent Orange, and Tahoe OG. My brother took them home and took care of them until I could get some clones. My rebound girl is short and chunky, she didn't stretch much and came down pretty early at 8 weeks. I'm using the my storage cabinet. The specs for reference: Flower Chamber: 20"D x 36"W x 48H 2 x 180w (110 draw) Blackstar Chrome LEDs 4" inline fan with carbon filter. Vegetive Chamber: 20"D x 24"W x 20"D 4 bulb 2 foot T5HO Shares exhaust with flower chamber The containers are 5 gallon smart pots that I didn't even till, just cut out the main stalk and plopped the clones in from the beer cups. The nutrients will be Bio Canna line (Vega, Flores, Boost, and Rhizotonic) according to their schedule. This is my fifth grow in this setup. My build and first grow was Super Lemon Haze bagseed. My second grow was also bagseed. My third and fourth grow was Juanita la Lagrimosa (AKA my crazy ex-girlfriend). The strain will be Strawberry Blue. Here is the breeders description: Quote:

I got a pair of sunglasses to correct for the purple LEDS. I'm quite impressed. This photo was my attempt to show the difference. The girl on the right has a little bit of burning on the tips. New growth is looking good and she is almost to the screen. The girl on the left is a tad smaller, but didn't get as burnt. Next feeding will be tap water with a little B1. |

Can I watch you train your new girl? Subbed.
I like your style. I also like to mulch with stones, although I prefer mine to be about marble size, easier to collect for re-using and not as easy to mixed in with the medium. Is there a reason your using smaller vs a little larger? |

![]() What you see as my mulch layer is NAPA floor dry. It is granulated diatomaceous earth. I started using it when I had a fungus gnat problem. It's cheap, like $8 a bag. I've only used about 1/2 the bag. I've used the marble sized clay pellets before, but they roll all over the place. Quote:

That napa floor dry seems an interesting source of diatomaceous earth, fungas gnats ruined a previous grow attempt, didn't know what to do,had sticky flypaper ribbons everywhere by the end.. I got some Desert sand this time to put on top hoping that will keep them dead. If it doesn't work i'll have to try that.

I usually use 1/2" size sand pebbles very cheap doesn't roll around, nice weight to them. Last edited by ScrogMonster; 10-27-2016 at 03:53 AM.. |
