hello boys, anyone have anything to say about this strain? seems to have done well at the cannabis cup, and i bought some beans. was it a mistake due to thinking"canna cup winner" starting to see to many politics in websites and breeders. tired of wasting my time due to overinflated advertising.

Are you sure it's from Barneys? I thought Reeferman was the creator of willie nelson (the strain of course lol). Check out the reeferman forum. Theres probly some grow reports on it there. Peace and *bong*

it's reef's genetics...

it's impossible to say it's the best pot in the world or anything, but if it won the cup... any cup, even a joke like the HTCC than it's probobly got some good potential.

that, and, everything of Reef's that i've ever smoked has been great stuff... the stuff that won the cup was a backup batch though, Love Potion #1 was supposed to be entered, but it didn't work out... Willie Nelson was the pinch hitter.

i've smoked some reef at barneys without satisfiyng myself,they say biologically grow ,but it's a big lie!!...i've grow some beans from reef and anyway i've noticed those fake flavour that i tried in a'dam with her hydro.

grow your own(without chem or hydro tecniques)....and test it...so that's the real expression of this genetic!!

Guy don't use ph meters and wonders why hydro tastes like crap, hehe. Hydro only tastes bad if grown poorly. Folks who smoke what they grow do better, course that quality ain't on most markets.

I did Reefs Willie, the pheno I had was lacking in overall buzz, but I only had one girl. It was a monster yielder, amazing, all good except the buzz, and that happens. I will grow it out again, cause there are lots of good smoke reports on it, check RM forum here they are there. Barney is a purple tv dino ain't he?

Barneys is from an ex frined of reeferman. i dont really know what happened there but i know that they'r relation is over now and reef is not porviding any more seeds to Barneys............so if i where you i should check the authentisity of those beans........ if they are authentic you are in for a real treat, believe me this is a real cannabis cup winner....... and actually the Willie Nelson was enterd to the cup by Barney's cause reefs mystery sativa didnt make it to Adam in time, so he was forced to enter his own headstash, that was a pure SM. Colombian Gold, the same used in the Lp#1

I've never grown the Willie Nelson by Barney's or Reeferman's but have sampled the bud from the new Barney's coffeeshop back in January.
I gotta say that it wasn't top-notch and wonder how it became a cup winner.
I guess it is more of a giggle type strain, if anything. I just didn't really feel any effects from smoking it. Not saying that the strain is no good, maybe you could find something great in those seeds, but the sample I smoked in Amsterdam was not good at all.
I think I overheard Derry (Barney's owner) and some grower discussing on the Willie Nelson. They were even surprised that it won.
I prefer the Love Potion #1 over the Willie Nelson.
