Biological Controls #9 - Green Lacewing, generalist predator
Ok, I will be attempting to establish a BREEDING POPULATION of lacewings in a tent. Who knows if this will work?
I'll let others post general details of green lacewings, and get on to the challenge: getting the adults to stay and breed. I will be making feeding stations for them (just like butterfly stations), and making a little house that provides shade during the "day". I am hoping the living mulches will provide enough flowers to get them in the mood. |

All of this sounds exciting to me,
Have a good journey, in the name of science!

got my eggs today, and although it's a long way off, I have my artificial honeydew from Ladies in Red all ready to go. It's mean't to stimulate egg production in lacewings, so I am optimistic about getting them to breed.

I've used them before for White Fly and to help with Spider Mites. They are my favorites. Trouble was they ate Mites-both good and bad. Good luck. -granger
