More of Esskie's Babies -RM's HashPlant
Hi there folks,
Well I just can't stop myself it seems?, when it comes to collecting/growing new (to me at least) strains, everytime I open my seed collection I can't close it again without taking seeds out to germ , obsessive behaviour I'd say? .Seriously though, HashPlant is a strain I've wished to grow for quite sometime now so yes, I did put some of these into germinate as soon as I recieved them!. They arrived in the morning post (9.30~10.30am) and were in pre-soak by noon, 5/6 had popped by 23.00z and all 6/6 were fully germinated and moved to 1" starter cubes first thing the next morning! .Right now they are approx 1.5~2wks old, still under the fluros but as there are roots just starting to show outside the cube now, a sure sign they'll be into the 3" Grodans very shortly, this coming week if possible? and into veg after that  . Right now, the veg system is full of Afghan clones (Batch-2) but Batch-1 have been in 12/12 for approx 3.5~4wks now (say half the flowering time of the strain?) so if I place Batch-2 into 12/12 now? if I've got my timing correct?, I should be able to harvest 12~36 plants per harvest every half cycle (ie; every 3-4wks). Due to me only placing 1 plant per bucket though, half a system is 12 pods/buckets, tbh, I think it's 6 and 2 x 3 whether you grow 2 small plants rather than 1 medium to large plant not exceeding 3ft in height?, ok there are so many methods of FIM pruning and 'spiral training' etc which do literally 'open up' the plant for any light that it may otherwise being deprived of. Right, some of these HashPlant babes before I ramble on and forgrt what I was posting about in the first place LoL. ...this 1st pic are all HP apart from the 2 at the rear right, they're BOG's Blue Moon Rocks ...the little HashPlant in the rear left has always been a tad behind the others, maybe it popped later but they were all so quick I didn't think it'd make a difference?... This is one that I fully intend to have a 'play with' so watch this space! ATB, Esskie. ...they've all been as close as they can get to the fluros, without burning obviously, and the slight stretch I'm seeing now is another clue asto them requiring better lighting!...

RM's Hashplant update
Hi there folks
,Jus a wee update on how the HP's are coming on. They're under 90w worth of fluorescent lights atm (2 x blue & 1 x red) and just been put into their 3" Grodans this morning after giving the cubes a damn good soak first (EC:1.10~1.20 & pH:5.8~6.0). They were put into germination on the 4th Feb so at 26 days? they should be a whole lot bigger but, unfortunately my vegroom is chockablock and theres no room until the 2nd batch of Afghans are moved to flower. This I intend to do tonight or tomorrow evening hopefully? so they'll get into the veg room then and I'll get a pile of Humboldt Snowbud cuttings clone for the next lot. Does anyone happen to know which of Reeferman's Hashplants this current one is? ie; #1, #2, #3 or #4?. ...the family... ...think this one is the runt of the litter? but it's healthy enough so no culling will be taking place... Like I say, I'm aware they're still very small for their age but this has kind of been due to keeping them under only the fluros as I had no space in the veg system to put them. Timing huh? ATB, Esskie

Why..
...thanx there Dr. D
.As I said in my last post, they should be bigger than they are atm but I deliberately tried to keep em 'on ice' until I had the veg sys cleared. They're under 2 x 30w fluorescent #1-mistake: buying a system with a set number of plant-sites as opposed to a tray which I could veg more by just placing them closer to each other ya know?. My veg system, as much as I like it, has only 10-plant sites , infact I've plans afoot to get hold of an ebb & flow tray with the fittings and make my own so I can veg more clones?.I normally never let my clones get too tall (strain dependant) before flowering, maybe nomore than 8"-10"? so I'm pretty sure a 1m square? or even 150cm x 50cm tray would allow a lot more than 10 clones?!! .Quote:
My advice to you man is try them a.s.a.p!, dunno if your into indicas, sativas or hybrids? but I guarantee you he'll have something there to take your fancy! His own site, forum and strain descriptions etc are at www.reefermanseeds.com. You're probably cheaper buying them direct too?. To date, I have: Herijuana, HashPlant, Doc Chronic, Orange Peako Cambodian(OPC) in my possesion with Burmese Delight, Potent Purple and another packet of Herijuana all on the way. Btw, you are more than welcome to a few of RM's Herijuana seeds if you wanna give em a try man?, just let me know if you want them and we'll take it from there?. ATB, Esskie

Wow! an update!!
Hi there peeps
,My absence note reads: Dear IC/More of Esskie's Babies -RM's HashPlant thread, Please escuse Esskie's from his thread over the last three weeks but I'm afraid his Athlon CPU decided to blow it's ass as it was an old 266Mhz FSB processor anyway. He has borrowed another, extremely slow by comparision, 800Mhz Athlon in order to get back online until his new CPU and probably 333 or 400Mhz mobo arrive. LoL  . Anyways, despite my PC playing silly buggers, the Hashplants have proved to be very chunky, broad leafed and stocky plants ever. There are some pics below, this one is of them at 6wks old: As you can see they have quite wide fingered leaves, so much so that I removed a large fan leaf several days ago now which had it's broadest finger measure at a good 3" across! .One thing though which has been a nightmare has been sexing them by the pre-flowers! .Okay, it's not possible with all strains although I have managed to definitely identify HP#2 as a female right on the day I put them into the flowering room too . What I have done is take 6 cuttings from the female (#2) and it's going to have to be a case of watching for, and pulling the males and taking a couple of cuttings from the females as and when they appear?. Not my preferred method but it'll be worth it in the end. They all seem to be very uniform in appearance other than 2 of the 6 have lots of side-branching wheras the other four don't have much in the way of lateral branching at all, a couple of phenotypes maybe?. One of the bushy ones is the female I've identified so there was no shortage of potential cuttings!. I'm sure they're approx 10wks old as of now? and were all put into the flowering room, after being topped, last night. I grabbed a couple of pics just before I moved them, these were taken yesterday: The big bushy one at the front is the #2 female I've mentioned, I am really in awe at the size of some of the big fan leaves though , I'd love to see this grown outdoors somewhere it had time to grow big!.ATB, Esskie
