Thanks for the input EasyBake!
![]() I wanted to put a picture of the hempy-passive-tray thing but didn't want to post with giving an update on the seeds, so I took a picture of them too. Anyways... here's the seeds, to get that out of the way. And then here's the first edition of the tray thing I'm putting together. The 3 liter bottle was too big, took up more space than I liked. So I think I'll use a 2 liter for the reservoir, and 1 liter bottles for growth. Maybe I'll go with 20oz bottles, but I like how one 2 liter and five 1 liter bottles fit. Anyways, next time I'll be cutting the tray to be much deeper, only leaving the top inch or two of the cut down 1 liter bottles to show. My current thoughts are to have a rather shallow reservoir, with the perlite extending an inch higher than the water line when everything is in place. This should give space so that the coco isn't sitting in water. Anyways, I think I'll be transplanting my 10 LG Thai x DC seeds into two tray like this, although right now I have 13 seedlings and 1 mother, so I might not have enough space. This might restrict me to 20oz bottles for now. Last edited by bounty29; 09-22-2008 at 06:06 PM.. |

![]() Well it's looking like I'm going to be transplanting in the next day or two, I want to wait until they've reached this... ...to transplant, so once the first set of leaves on the seedlings gets to that point they'll get to spread their legs. I've got the passive coco system set up, right now it's being used by 3 Sour Diesels and a Blockhead cut, but I plan on rigging two more of the trays. Here's the current tray...

lol let's just say I'm the brokest I've ever been
You should definitely start a thread, even if it's just for yourself. Heavy documentation has really improved my grow, if I didn't have all these threads to manage I wouldn't be able to look back and see what happened if anything went wrong. I'm busy as hell for the next few days, I gotta find some time in there to transplant these. I've only got a couple of those MtnDew bottles so I'm gonna have to get creative, and quickly. ![]() I'll figure something out. ![]()

Alright, just transplanted, right on schedule. They all went in 16oz cups, not all that creative, but they work and were easy on short notice. Here they are...
![]() ![]() Here's a shot of the most developed root system... And here's a shot of my veg cab, at max capacity All is going well here! ![]() Edit: In case you hadn't caught it wherever I posted... I'll be doing these in straight coco for veg, and then maybe hempy buckets or maybe straight coco for flower. I'm testing these seeds, so I shouldn't be testing new things at the same time. I'll stick with something I know works.

Looking good, filling up my space very quickly. ![]() Wonder if we're going to start seeing the waxy looking DC leaves, it almost looks like they've started on the last established node and the leaves coming out might be completely "waxed". I look forward to finding out.
