The Room:

Overall 13' X 7' X 8.5' in height.

I've added a "soft" wall of reflectix, dividing the room into:
8x7 bloom
5x7 veg/clone/utility/storage/etc...

I have a 60 amp subpanel wired in for electrical and a pool-type timer
10k BTU portable AC unit--->not enough to run big lights in the desert summer
600W Lumatek Blue Digi Ballast.
-MH for Veg
-HPS for Bloom
6" CanFan and carbon scrubber for exhaust

Got more lights if need be, but it's just too damned hot here for another several weeks.

I'll prolly be growing these in soil. An organic base and ammendments I borrow from the good folks in the Organic Soil forum. Otherwise... E&F tables or buckets-a-la- Blaze1up. Guess I should decide soon

Smoking Gun- Welcome. This should be interesting. I guess in a 100% Ideal Show NZjay and I would have started at the same time, but this was a random idea that is shaping up nicely.

Fj- Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the great genetics! I may try my hand at some advanced training techniques that NZjay uses, but if I can't manage, I've got the vertical room. I'm sure we'll be picking your brain not far down the road. Thanks for the support!


Well, I've not much to report other than 3 babies are looking nicely nicely. I've not had the best results with seed grows this year, but now that I'm posting to this thread, it definitely keeps me on my toes, and hopefully no total boneheaded moves out of me (well, minimal at least)

FJ: i did very much indeed compensate/prepare for the stretch..
i just this moment gave the strings a few reties, but from here on out, no more training for anyone. that means my intire bunkbed. not just the Venomheads.
As you can see, i LST/Supercrop/FIM quite heavily on all my plants.



i think im all set and ready for them to stretch all they want now.. hehe..
and here we are day 5 of 12/12, and i can see the stretch has just really kicked in.. so its not a question of if they will get taller than my NFU and Purple Urkle... the question is how MUCH taller?.. lol.

so you have never fimmed this strain before?... she seemed to like it... so.. i will admit ive got high expectations from her..
they have stunk so good since week 4-5 of veg!... i love the smell the give off i just cant wait to smell/smoke buds!

I wouldn't feel so sorry for the plant. Think of the plant like an athlete, the harder it trains the better it will perform in competition. Jay has certainly proven this to be true with his plants, as this is not unusual training for them, and they all come out winners. That is a champion plant training to reach its full potential.

I am really excited to see those Venomhead's start to really bud. From what I saw in FJ's breeding thread, it should put on the weight. I am popping the popcorn now, I already got my recliner ready and am enjoying the show.

As I understand, the parent stock of these plants has been lost, so there are only a few that have originals out there somewhere. I'm glad I had the chance to make some F2's and hope that they can perform as well as the originals...heavy yields, tight, frosty nugs, and a good sweet-tart citrus flavor.
