we are both running F2s of FJs "Venomhead", that come from the same F2 batch thanx to Shitake!

i was a lucky dude and he hooked me up with some of these puppys, and its been a good experiance since.
FJ has been nothing but helpfull since finding out i had his strain, so i wanted to try and do something for him.
so Shitake and i thought it would be cool to show off some Mountain High Seeds genetics.
Just tonight i found out i have 2 different female phenos types.. while the same time Eatshitake himself has dropped 5 more of the seeds!

so we thought if would be a novel idea to have a joint thread!
2 guys - 1 thread - 1 beautiful strain!

So lets get this show on the road!

My buddy NZjay easily convinced me to be a part of his great idea of starting a joint grow-n-show with some of FJ's VenomHead as he explained above.

I was lucky enough to have obtained some of FJ's VenomHead last year and grew out a pack. I've a nasty habit of killing off plants, partly due to my harsh desert climate, and partly due to...well, just being a bonehead sometimes. Armed with this information, I had every intention of keeping this strain going because I'd heard great things about her. So with some selection advice from FJ, I chose my best male and pollenated my 2 best females, resulting in the F2 seeds that NZjay and I will be running here. I'm glad I did this, because this is some tasty, head-friendly smoke!

NZjay's got a good several weeks worth of head start on me, and an infinitely greener thumb than I, so I'll probably be around here to brush up on my thread-running skills, grow cycle management, and hopefully earn some of that green thumb goodness. I'm sure this will be an entertaining and personally rewarding experience.

Cannot wait to see what you guys have in store. Ive already experienced some of FJs strains and they were top grade. And Ive heard great things about the Venomheads so good luck guys!!

so, lets get the ball rolling with pics in here then.

i decided to only pop 3 seeds due to room size resctrictions.
turned out to work out perfectly. as 2 are female, and 1 was a male. may he RIP.

it would seem i got lucky, and have 2 different VH phenos.
Number #1 is the shorter pheno FJ told me to look for. she stinks of Lemony/lime goodness. i think this comes from the c99 in the strain?...

ill spare ya'll seedling shots, as Shitake will be showing off his youngins soon enough. but i check my gallery for a few young shots to show yas how they have come along.

currently, they are only 3 days in flower, so you are not missing too much just yet. just some bushy/stinky venomheads!

Wow mate, those plants look healthy and happy. Nice eventful turn with 2 out of 3, too. Congrats! I'm definitely gonna pick your brain throughout this grow, as I'll essentially be running the same plants (not identical) and may experience similar phenotypical expressions and characteristics.

-How soon did you FIM?

Shitake: When do i fim?..

well.. usually when the first preflower shows growth. thats usually about the 5th-6th internode - or like 3-4 weeks of veg.
clone or seed dependant obviously.

but to me, basically ASAP coz the sooner i get 2 tops, the sooner there will be 4... and then the sooner there will be 8... and ...so on and so on

come to think of it, look at my above pics.
the first set, no FIM yet... the 2nd set, looks like they have JUST been fimmed.

i love FIM. im more experianced with FIM than LST and Supercropping, but in the bed i use all 3 techniques.

Everything looks great guys, and that finished Venomhead looks amazing! Should be interesting to see what kind of different phenotypes you both find in this generation.
